Welcome to the EVGA forums

Try a Custom/clean install 310.54 and the setings posted below

Does the crashing happen in any other games, or just BF3?

You really need to post your complete and detailed specs, so we can better understand where the problem lies...

Like what monitor are you using make/model and screen res...

"freezes" when jumping into a vehicle (just you and nobody else) would point to incorrect settings, either in game or in the NVCP, that or a ping issue

What kind of connection do you have (type/speed) what are your pings?

Or take your sound setup....
BF3 -only- supports 5.1 channel sound, so the question is,, is the lime green jack correct? (dont think so, should be the Black line out)
What headphones are you using?

Etc etc

For the NVCP (try all of the exact settings below)
NVCP BASE 310.33

Antec Nine Hundred two gaming case rear 120 mm, Top 200 mm, 2 X front 120 mm
The game freezes at random sometimes just as a new round is starting other times after I have been playing 20-30 mins and doesnt matter if there is alot going on or im just running down an empty street.  All size servers.  I have played campaign even after a freeze and it seemed ok but I didnt play a real long time.  There is 67 GB of free space on my hard drives and it ran Lineage 2 the only other game i have installed on full details no problem with 2 clients up.  And ventrilo running in the back ground.  I have tried battlefield with and without ventrilo in the background and it freezes either way.

What browser are you using?

With a SSD setup like that you need to have the page file set to no more than 1000mb
Go into Advanced Tab and set a custom Page File size at 1000mb (shown below)

Also since you only have 1.2gig Vram, try dropping settings down (shown below) to decrease stress at map loading.

You should do a reboot to the desktop
Now open your browser to its homepage, then hit Ctrl/Alt/Del and bring up the task manager/Processes tab
What does it say for memory use of the DWM process?

Im using google chrome and task manager process for  dwm.exe = 19,536k at home page but in changing that total paging file size I initially set to 16 MB min and 1000 MB max and when i rebooted it gave a value of 16 MB where u show 1000 MB so i changed it too 1000 MB min and 1000 MB max to reflect 1000 MB as the value for Total paging file size for all drives........ but that just seems fishy should I go back to the 16 MB min and 1000 MB max?
Also wanted to mention I am using Logitech G510 keyboard and M510 mouse

Ahhh....
You had not mentioned that keyboard.
You dont happen to be using the keyboards screen to display Precision or MB data are you?
Thats a KNOWN cause of crashing in BF3

If you are using it with Precision or Afterburner, then you will need to do the following to test if its causing crashing.
First off shut down the program, then go to the Control panel/Programs and features
Uninstall Precision
IMPORTANT: during the uninstall, Precision will ask if you want to save profiles and data (see below)
-->you MUST answer NO when asked, or the -KNOWN- OSD bug with your keyboard will follow you
After the uninstall is completed, you must reboot once to reset the driver.

Now test BF3 without Precision installed
If the crashing stops, the you did have the OSD (keyboard or on-screen display) bug

You -can- put Precision back in for fan control, OC and monitoring
BUT--> you must NOT enable the OSD (on screen keyboard or on-monitor) display function

Disconnected G510 and unistalled anything that referred to it plugged in a serial connection old school keyboard and still froze in game.  I don't run Precision or afterburner.

I haven't played this game in a while after getting a new monitor (Asus VG278H). I re-installed the game. Updated the drivers for my gpu. Did an origin repair and it fixed something. But, the game does not show my gun or allow me to shoot it. Also my graphics are stuck on low.

Would anybody know how to resolve this? Thanks!

EDIT: Did another repair install and it fixed it. Took two repairs. Weird.

Maniac, you're the man.

What's your latest recommended driver for my vidcard/setup?  Somehow Nvidia snuck in an auto-update on me...so I'm not sure I'm OPTIMIZED.

For 500 series cards, I currently recommend (and am using) 301.54
Its not that the latest 310.70 is bad, but 301.54 "feels" better for gameplay (and thats entirely subjective)

(BAD ENGLISH, SORRY*)
Before starting, i just want to say that i've passed 2 entire month on this weird issue, if i came here it's mainly because i had no more solution.
Issue itself:
i'll start with a video to show you a little bit what it is  * CAN'T PUT LINK *
The weird thing is that it depend what i'm doing, sometimes the stutter /frameskipping it's more prononced when i look to alot of things in the same time (wide horizon with alot of detail) and there's nothing or almost when i watch other way were is nothing graphicly demanding (weird witha 680gtx huh ?).
I disabled/enabled  Vsync, in my opinion it did nothing to the situation apart just adding tearing to my screen.
I also tested 2 other GPU ( 560 GTX and 580 classified ) changed NOTHING to the situation.
I noticed that when i cap my FPS to 59.95 or 60 on BF, all the little spike / stutter disapear and only appear rarely BUT cpu spikes still there randomly.( i work around fps capping and try alot of things but unfortunately had nothing good.
at this point i thought it was a CPU problem bottlenecking or something like that so
I disabled HT -> did nothing
I disabled C1E support / C3 and C6 - did Nothing
I put the minimum CPU usage at 100% - > did Nothing
I disabled aerotheme -> did Nothing
I unparked my CPU  - > did Nothing
I tried overclocking my GPU / CPU - > did Nothing
I tried running Battlefield 3 on different ServicePack - > did Nothing
i noticed that when i record with mirillis action (a badass recorder better than Fraps and Dxtory) the taped video lag sometimes and the sound just cut at the same time and restart normaly after 1 second or less.
I took a screenshot from my Taskmanager *CAN'T PUT LINK*  ( i know that there's a lot of things but i don't find myself safe to Stop a process that i don't really know his existence )
P.S: on the taskmanager i was Reinstalling BF3 on a other HDD

I don't know what to say more than that guys, i've never work on a problem like that, all my friend tell me that it's not supose happen with that build.
Few months ago i had no stutter and now i fight with them for now 2-3 months.

Welcome to the EVGA forums

You can use post up the links to your screenshots, just remove the  www. or http/

After reading over your post, its clear that your biggest problem is your FOV at 110
Use of such a extreme 170 degree FOV will KILL your texture performance running a GTX 680 and cause exactly the problems you are having. The Nvidia drivers and game engine has been patched and that setting is NOT going to work.
The FOV setting is coded and is NOT the same as past versions of BF or other games.

Set the FOV to 70 -->as that is the correct 90 degree for your 24in monitor

We can look over your screenshots for any other problems, but that 110 FOV is the primary issue.
*you would not even use 110 when running (3) monitors in Surround, that would only be about 85 at most

Thank you bro for the answer !
you're the guy that i wanted.

(some other problem that may be in common)
My friend don't stop telling me that sometimes my voice is ''stuttering'' on the teamspeak /skype
My software don't boot properly or mouse/keyboard driver doesn't boot at all (do not responding at booting, i've to replug them)
redering video with sony vegas is weird, the rendering is by lap of 3 second weirdly like the GPU do in the game.
Picture from the end of the rendering video : imagup.com/data/1170990798.html

There we go for the Taskmanager Screenshot:
---imagup.com/data/1170960745.html
There is the video :
---youtube.com/watch?v=5Mv7o6iuZAI
we cannot notice that those affect my gameplay on that video but i just recorded it fastly so i've not carry about the more pointless moment because they pop so randomly.

-Here is an other video :  youtube.com/watch?v=OR6w3hJdufM&feature=youtu.be
the 'FIRST part' of the video i found realistic that the GPU need more power but at the point that it cause the little stuttering field, it's weird (on that part i capped my FPS to 60 that's why the stutter is less than normaly)
on the 'SECOND part' of the video you can see that there's something wrong with the record. Maybe like the stutters, it's caused by the same problem. (because i NEVER had that problem with recording before, it appears approximativly in same time)
on the 'THIRD part' of the video you can see that in same lap of time, the GPU is spiking, as well as ingame but it's more noticeable without CPU usage.
on the 'LAST part' there's some spiking and stuttering issues like others.

EDIT: unfortunally FOV doesn't work...
Changing the FOV and reinstalling the game did nothing (i bet it's something on my TaskManager.)
I don't understand why i had nothing and now i got this...

The FOV was a problem, set it to 70

What you have is ALOT of other issues.

I will need a Screenshot of you MSCONFIG "startup" tab showing all entries that have a checkmark.
It might take two screenshots, but we need to see anything thats checked.

YOU HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM(s)

Skype should NEVER be running when gaming and should not be used for in-game comms.
It is a p2p based service and will by itself cause all kinds of issues like stuttering and othe connection and CPU overhead issues.

Do use TS3.... it great and made for gaming
Do NOT have Skype and TS3 running at the same time.

You drivers are a total mess
we need to look over your Startup list and get that fixed up

Ok

First off, you need to pull the divider over so we can see what the program call entries are for the Intel common user interfaces.
I cannot see what they are doing, so we cannot uncheck them yet

Next you will want to go ahead and uncheck everything marked in RED
*after unchecking them, you will need to reboot once.

Uncheck the RED items and get me a screenshot showing what programs are in the Intel entries.

You have at least 2-3 different keyboard drivers in there, and Skype should never be running at boot.

OK

This shows that your on-board intel graphics has not been disabled.
Do NOT uncheck these at this time.

Uncheck the items that I posted before that are marked in RED, reboot and come back

After the reboot, you will need to go into the Control Panel, Programs and Features
Once there you need to -uninstall- the Asus AI Suite II
once its uninstalled, reboot once again back to the desktop.
Do NOT skip the reboot

After the reboot and back on the desktop...
Open Precison and use the X in the top corner to close it.
Now go to START/All Programs
look for the EVGA Precision folder and open it...
At the bottom is the "UNINSTALL" hit that and start the uninstall...
IMPORTANT: during the uninstall Precison will ask if you want to save data and profiles. You MUST answer NO to this question and NOT save anything.

After Precison is uninstalled, do one more reboot back to the desktop.
Do NOT skip the reboot

Now go and test BF3 with all the changes we have made and without Precision running

Now...

After testing you have some more work to do.

You need to find out what keyboard you are using!
then we can uninstall the keyboard software (for a keyboard your NOT using) and then get the right keyboard software enabled or installed.
You also appear to NOT have any Audio software in your Startup. This will cause Windows to load a default Audio device software.
That is not idel, you should install your "correct" Audio device software from the Asus site for you MB

You will also need to read up in your Asus MB manual, and properly disable the on-board Intel graphics. You are not using it.

That should get you running 100% better

Dont worry about the fan profile for the testing run
The card has its own default profile and thats good enough for testing....

AFTER, you do everything else I posted... and tested it in BF3
Then you can re-install Precision and put back in your fan profile

I am going to be leaving soon

The only issue I see is your keyboard might not work correctly using the windows defaults (depending on what keybaord you are using)

Dont panic if some of the keyboard keys are not working right, its just a driver issue

Post what keyboard you are using and we can get the correct driver for it, or enable the "correct" driver in the Startup list

Turn the keybaord over and post its Make and Model
