In order to update your drive to firmware version 2.09 for your Vertex3/Agility3/Solid3 drive, you need to be on firmware 2.06 or 2.08. If you are on version 2.02 still, then you will need to update twice, once to 2.06, then to 2.09.
Follow the instructions below for updating your firmware:
1. Use the
OCZ Toolbox or check device manager for your current firmware version.
Link to firmware in device manager2. If you are experiencing issues with BSOD in Windows, use OCZ Toolbox v2.38-209 to upgrade the firmware in your SSD to v2.09:
Link to Download3. Note that if your SSD contains firmware version lower than 2.06, a two-step process will be required to upgrade the firmware first to 2.06 and then to version 2.09. In such a case, use OCZ Toolbox v2.38-209 first to upgrade to v2.06 and then again to upgrade to v2.09.
4. If your SSD already contains firmware version 2.08, OCZ Toolbox v2.38-209 will upgrade the firmware to v2.09 in one step.

Some of you look to be still seeing issues, please read the following:
Just a note for some of you guys who flashed, did not start fresh and are now seeing issues again.
We are suggesting you thoroughly clear cmos on the motherboard, you then Secure erase the drive and totally fresh install to the drive..no imaging, no cloning.once windows is installed load all chipset/ahci drivers last, reboot, set power schemes, reboot, run WEI and reboot, let the machine cycle thru those power schemes, wake it, reboot and then you should be good to go.
We will be producing a simple install guide for windows7, nothing complicated, but it is apparent people have picked up what potentially could be bad install habits that could be causing issues (note i have not said this is a cure to the bsod issue) windows 7 especially with P55 and p67/z68 boards needs to be correctly set up, AMD boards are a little easier but it is as equally important to get the procedure correct...it adds 10 mins to the total install time.
