I have seen some folks make mention that they were not yet allowed to include links in their post. I ignored this until I noticed that I link I added to a post was simply deleted on the way to making a Preview and then when actually posting.
I have searched around quite a bit to see the policy on this. I found the policy on PMs, but nothing about when one is allowed to include a link in their post.
What is the policy?

10 posts for PM's. 50 posts for links. Workaround for posting links until you reach 50... simply put spaces in your links.

Actually been wanting to join this forum for ages but just now decided to.
Hope this is an acceptable place for an early post.
Regardless - what compelled me to come here was the fact that this is a place where mostly nerds hang out, of course not meant negatively - I think it's great; I've actually been looking for such a place that isn't reddit and more aimed towards enthusiast, so I think I'll feel welcome here.
