What is a good low resource using monitoring program that I could use to monitor my cpu and motherboard tempatures along with my CPU/Chasis fan speed, and my voltage output? I am currently using asus probe and people have been saying I could be using something better like Coretemp?

Personally I use CoreTemp and have it minimize to the system tray. It only uses 3,216k memory and has all that information as well. I have never had issues using it with my PHII x4 965BE.

I was also going to suggest AIDA64, but for the few things you want to monitor, it is overkill.

This is my AIDA64 Sensor Panel:

Also, I just checked my AIDA64 memory usage; ~30MB.

And, of course, AIDA64 is not free.

@Artucas:  It looks like the labels for the SSD's are wrong or the sensors are off as it's hard to believe an SSD would be ~30C.

I am quite certain the labels are correct. The temperature is reported by a sensor in the SSD.

Why do you find it hard to believe?

Because they generate little to no heat due to no moving parts.

yeah, so?  they might be next to things that DO generate heat.  It's only about 5-8 degrees above ambient room temp.

generated heat by the device is going to be proportional to the resistance (basically depends on the current draw).  SSDs usually draw less current, but I'm sure there are exceptions. I have a flash card that gets pretty dang warm when I plug it into my USB and do a lot of data transfers.

Yeah, but think about it.  1W causes 30C?  A HDD generates about 30-40C.

edited post above..but the ambient temp isn't freezing.  if it's 30 degrees, that's only 5 degrees above 25 or 8 above 22.  No biggie.

Ok, so, his SSD at 30C vs the HDD on this shop computer with the side off @ 32C - and you don't think something is off?  Half the time, you're supposed to ignore the readings on the SSD's as they're off anyways.  People have seen 128C on SSD's on various other forums; it doesn't mean it's right.

127 or 128 just means no data from sensors.  It's because it's a signed 8-bit integer value that the software expects.

what's wrong with 32 for a HDD now?  this isn't during a disk-reading benchmark.  On idle, I don't see why you'd expect it to be warm.

Also, I'd expect the HDDs to be closer to the optimal airflow position so they can be cooled more efficiently, whereas you can jam the SSD in a poorly circulating part of the case and be relatively okay.

Nothing is wrong for 32C for the HDD.  I was stating that there's a problem with the SSD at 30C as it shouldn't even be close to the temperature of the HDD at 32C.

The 128 number is a static fixed for the SSDs that don't have internal temperature sensors. Considering that the SMART monitoring needs some kind of data for the reading those manufacturers who do not include any kind of temperature sensor just set it to this number. There are procedures that you can use (OCZ has a posting about it) to modify the registry to set this number to 30 or somewhere below threshold. Normally SSDs do not exhibit a large amount of temperatures but I would consider what is surrounding the device itself and the ambient for the SSD that does have an internal sensor.

    Better?

There are four SSD stacked in a HDD cage that, frankly, does not get a lot of air circulation.

Your temperatures looked fine in the previous posting considering the ambient. Using HWMonitor my OCZ Agility 3 reports 30°C for the Chassis and 1°C for the drive.
