irishsj Kielwb you still want this card with the 980 GTX Ti out?
I meant the AIO kit, not the whole card...I've debated back and forth about returning my Titan X for a pair of 980 Ti but I'd lose the money I spent on the extended warranty/advanced RMA things ($100 combined!) - if I could get a refund for that I'd probably do it. Part of me also thinks staying with the X is a good idea because of the resolution I play at (3440x1440) - I know games can't use the 12GB now, but I feel like running stuff on that resolution in the next year or two might get to where 6GB could be a limiting factor at the high end. I don't know. I think if EVGA would refund/transfer my warranty and RMA stuff I'd be driving to Microcenter to return the X tonight.
Silly question, but how does one get extended warranty and advanced RMA? Or is that only available as an option if you order straight from EVGA?

It is available when you register your product. http://www.evga.com/support/register.asp

Thanks for the info, but I guess it's a US only thing, didn't get such option when I was registering mine. Also, I am beginning to think EVGA has no plans to make 980 hybrid and Titan X hybrid available here. *sighs*

LG 34UM95. It's pretty amazing, and I switched from a 27" 120hz monitor.

Is the Backplate, used on the titan x hybrid, cooling the backside FETs & memory - is there a thermal connection with pads or thermal compound? I'm asking, because i'm going to use some titans for my rendering systems - that means, they might be CUDA-rendering @ 100% for many hours with no pause. This is much more intense for the card than playing games. If the backside components are poorly cooled, that might affect stability i guess. That's why i was going to wait for the Inno3D hybrid solution but now the EVGA seems to be even better, as it fully eliminates warm air in the case. If the backplate is not just for fancy, i'm going for the EVGAs!

I've heard of issues with the backplate interfering with cooling with adjacent cards. If you can space them apart then hopefully that won't be an issue. I've never found the Inno3D iChills in the USA if that's where you are. I believe they're in China, Russia, and Japan mostly. Maybe the EU.

Any difference they make is generally minimal. It is usually around 2-3 degrees if at all. Unless you find an active cooling back plate, it is generally for the aesthetics. If your cards are single spaced, the back plate could be an issue anyway. I simply mount a fan on my side panel to blow intake air across the PCB and it gets picked up in my air flow pattern. The back plate that I purchased from EVGA does have thermal pads installed at the time of purchase and theoretically offers a heat transfer to a larger surface area for dissipation.

Thanks! That is good news, so i assume the premounted backplate on the hybrid should also be using thermal pads. Would be inconsistent, if it doesn't...

They will have, easy, TITAN X Hybrid will stay long available as TITAN Z. More people will pay GTX980Ti Hybrid. They think we are stupid and that TITAN X not worth money difference but for me worth definitely. I like him absolutely same as 700 Classified series and 980 Classified series. Full black card. Full black card, look incredible and everything is incredible on TITAN X Hybrid. OK I must confess other colors on side of 980 Hybrid and 980Ti Hybrid look very good. I can't remove look from them how they are nice special in case with window side panel, all 3 models. In previous generations I think some other brands launched cards with AIO systems but didn't look so nice as Hybrid.

Hi all, My hybrid just came in the mail but for the life of me I cannot find a place to put the fan. What are people's options on leaving the fan outside of the case (poking holes through the case for the tubes)?

You can install AIO cooler, radiator anywhere on 120mm fan place. On back side on top or HDD cages, even on front panel. On almost all cases is possible to install 120mm radiator.

Hey Guys! This might need to get referred to support, but I thought I'd ask: I just installed the Hybrid Cooler to my Titan X. During the BIOS, the GPU blower fan runs at a nice normal and very quiet speed. But once the OS loads, the GPU blower fan now runs full blast. I've got a clean system - i.e. I don't have any apps like AI Suite, or Precision X, MSI Afterburner, etc installed that would grab the fans and ramp them up. According to GPU-Z, the Fan Speed percentage is reading as 22%, but the Fan RPM is listed as 0. Temps are low, as in 25C, so it's absolutely working, but with the blower running full blast, it's not a great "sonic" experience. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in Advance AJ

Can't you just bolt it to the current exhaust fan on your case?

its silly to blow lots of money in the hopes for keeping a card for four years. a Titan X will look a little silly in 18 months and will be a complete joke compared to mid range cards in less than 4 years before having more than 6 GB will have even mattered. my gosh even the 980 Ti is 80% faster in newer games than the original Titan so think how silly it would have been to get that original Titan 2 years ago for "future proofing" with its 6 GB. cards are a simple upgrade for a reason so get what you need for now then upgrade down the road.

The high-performance models of a generation only remain high-performance for 18-24 months at the most before you're forced to sacrifice quality/resolution or FPS. If you want to play at the highest quality and resolution you will have to accept that you'll be required to upgrade your GPUs at least every 24 months and probably SLI two cards as well to maintain 60fps+ at the highest resolution of the time.
