Thank you for that video! i am trying to do the same in the bios menu for my z-790 dark kingpin i made some screenshots, please let me know if i did it right. i managed to find the Power setting and changed it to 253 watts

for i9 13900KS power limit is 320W not 253W :) I have set mine to 320W

Things to Know Before Interpreting Our Test Results: Extreme Delivery Profile is 320 W (PL1/PL2) Expanding into Intel's new Extreme Delivery Profile enables higher power limits on the Core i9-13900KS. As per Turbo Boost Max 3.0, this is set to 253 W, the same PL1/PL2 value as on the Core i9-13900K. For the Core i9-13900KS, the Extreme Delivery Profile enables a higher profile, increasing to 320 W for the PL1 and PL2 values. I understand that, but the problem is that, when that microcode update comes out, EVGA is most likely not going to release an update with this microcode in it. I really hope they do as this is a pretty critical fix that needs to be done.

That appears to be the 1.17 BETA BIOS that was released in April of this year, which of course does NOT have the Intel Voltage corrections and new microcode.

About? Intel issued a microcode update earlier than expected, and only ASUS and MSI have issued BIOS updates so far (as of yesterday), and those are only beta BIOS versions, and it's only for a few models so far. My ASUS laptop hasn't received any update yet, beta or otherwise.

well, after a few days of use, this BIOS is just perfect 48GB 2x24GB DDR5 8000mhz with XMP only, no manual tuning, 100% stable in all uses, work or gaming, passed all MEMTEST test without problems! 14900K "without the latest Intel fix", not necessary, works perfect, 40k+ in Cinebench R23 with everything stock, P Cores x56 all + E Cores x44 all, power limit released, consumes about 350w under load, DOES NOT DO THERMAL THROTTLING with an AIO! I don't even have a delid, I don't even use a custom wc, just AIO

Ahh ok.  ..Early days, sounds like it's only early microcode updates being rolled out of Intel for testing so far. I guess we'll just have to be patient (easier said than done lol).

I just went in and manully tuned my now 2nd 13900ks cpu myself in the bios by locking all the cores to 56, and set the vcore to 1.345v with a offset of -110 as well a dropping the vcore pwm frequency to 400, and power limiting the cpu to 253 watts, and my chip has been fine, no issues at all. It runs cooler and even a little faster, and I have had my 2nd 13900ks for 3 months now.
