Do we have any consensus that this is a problem with pairing a GA PSU unit with a 3080 card yet?
My PC parts are about to arrive and would like to know if I need to return my Supernova 750w GA.
I cannot, unfortunately, chance on testing if this issue exists because the place I purchased from doesn't allow returns if their product is opened.


If you have the chance to return it I personally would, many people including me are having issues with the GA series paired with the 30 series. It seems like it's specific to the GA units so any other model should do.

My GPU still hasn't arrived yet and I'm still worried if it's going to have issues with the GA 850 PSU I bought a month ago...

Just a follow up, I'm just using my existing SuperNova 750w G+ from 2018 for the moment while I wait for the backordered AX850 and it seems to be running the Ryzen 7 5800x and 3090 just fine though so I'm wondering if I should just cancel the order for the AX850.




How did perform the SuperNova 750w G+ with that setup? Are you still using it or you change it for the AX850? I have the same SuperNova model and I am not sure if it can handle the 3080 if I get one.

From the reports I've read on the internet, you are more likely to have problems with a GA than not. If its not too late and you can return it and get a different one, I'd suggest you do. No issues at all with Corsair or Seasonic PSU's that I've heard about.

My 750GA had issues with the 3080 ftw3 Ultra, and they sent me an 850 G+ replace it. I've heard the GA in general reacts poorly to these cards.

wow I guess everyone gets an upgrade but me? Called and they said they will send another 850 GA, I asked if I could even pay to get an upgraded version and said no. Guess the buck stopped here....
