I have a 750W G2 220-G2-0750-XR that i purchased in 2014. It's been great up until a week ago. My PC will shutdown then start a boot loop and never even make to it the bios, Just on and off. I can only get it to stop by wiggling the motherboard and SATA connections at the power supply. Eventually once it gets a good connection it will boot up. Also sometime when I try to boot the pc the power button does nothing until i wiggle the cables again. I contacted customer service about the problem and they are sending new cables, hopefully that fixes it. Has anyone else had this problem before and found the solution? I have re-seated everything and dusted to the case just to be sure that wasn't the problem. I'll update when I get the cables if it fixes it.

Thank you. All of the connections look ok. I don't see anything that would indicate any overheating and no smells either. The pins don't look bent either.

Take the 24-Pin Cable off the Motherboard and test it with the Tester Cap and see if it turns on and off OK.
If it does then disconnect and Plugs from the Power Supply and only have the EPS CPU Power cable and the 24-Pin Power Cable Plugged in.
Turn on your computer and enter the Bios and let it sit for a bit.
If all OK then Power Off and Connect ONE Cable at a time and enter the Bios for a bit.
Do this with each Cable you are using.

Thanks, that's good to know. I hope I don't have to do that. The customer service team was great. I hope it's just a bad cable.

Well I got the new cables from Evga and swapped them out and it didn't fix it. Still have to wiggle the cables to get it to stop boot looping and also have to slightly tap the top of the psu. The pc won't stay on for more than 2 or 3 minutes now before shutting off and power button does not nothing

OK update. I pulled the psu completely out of the case. Plugged on thr motherboard cable with the jumper in. Then connected the ac cable. Flipped the on switch and nothing. Ac cable is tight no play. If I tap the psu it will turn on for a moment then back off again. Connections are tight

Also tried the ac cable from my monitor and it still is doing the same thing. No power at all unless I tap on the unit and the fan will turn on for a short minute then shut off. Turning the power switch on and off does nothing, only tapping the unit will allow it to power on

Just RMA it, what are you waiting for? For it to blow up?

Tapping to power it on is a clear sign, it's time to go.
