So i had to RMA my 141-BL-E757-TR and it turned out to be defected.
As they didn't have any replacement E757 boards they asked me if i could take a 132-BL-E758-B1
Now for my quick and hopefully easy question.
What does the -B1 mean?

I've read TR has 2 or 3 years warranty, -A1 and -E1 being the same thing with 10years.

Thanks in advance.

If the board was defective out of the box the do not accept the B1.

Still they said the mobo was defective and was not something you did. If you only had it running for 1 month before it flaked out, why should you loose a full year of warrenty?

B1 will only give you 1 year warranty while TR is good for 2 years. What kind of item is that 132-BL-E758-B1?

132-BL-E758-B1 is the original x58 mobo but with only 1 year limited.

Tell them give you another TR at least or give you your money back.

I belive I would tell them that you would be willing to Pay $40 to step up from the TR to a A1, but would want $40 credit to step down from the TR to the B1, and see what they say. Like stated above, you shouldn't have to take it in the shorts, just because stock is depleated.

    Thanks for the info shockthemonky.

Yeah, I agree with shockthemonky to give you a TR or money back. Besides, they are saying that they will always give an equal value or higher as replacement. The one they are offering is not equal in terms of warranty itself.

Pay no attention to the suffix of RMA replacements.  Your warranty will always follow the original part.
