I couldnt even register as an elite until last 30 min and after i added the ultra to the cart I wasn't able to checkout because the regular ftw was in my cart and i couldnt delete it... 30 min deleting to come back to a 0 stock ultra
after 1 hour and 30 min of trying to register as an elite...

At least you in the US would be able to buy a card with the Elite-Membership. As German I am only eligible for 1080ti FTW cards with my Elite-Membership. Nice.

Happy they are trying new systems, but I still was unable to check out without errors. I'll keep trying, hopefully they dont abandon this.

This is what should have happened for the 3080 as well. And regardless of if you don't like it or not, they should reserve some cards for those of us that have been with them for awhile. Myself since they became a company.

Tried for the elite members FTW3 Ultra since it went live and never had a chance. Got all the way to the green order button multiple times and it just sat there.

I got the email last night, but since I wasn't interested in 3090 I didn't bother checking. What exactly happened, the 3090 FTW3 Ultra was only available to elite members? Or the only Elite card was the FTW3 Ultra? I guess it could also be both.

Through the Twitter posts from Jacob and Mods in Forums, you all have done a good job of trying to keep the community informed, there is undoubtedly going to be people that are upset they didn't get one, but the communication is helpful on the sting and appreciated.

They opened up the Elite Member Stock to everyone.. it was possible to get a card even 30mins ago just before they ran out.

I like the elite status move - rewarding repeat customers is good business.
I do think it should have be preorders but Nvidia forbade that so its not EVGA's fault.
Ive bought upwards of 10 GPUs from EVGA over the last 7 or so years, its nice to have some perks for that kind of product loyalty.

You would think the $1799 price tag is enough of a barrier to buying this card, but EVGA decided to lock purchases to memebers who have bought at least TWO big ticket items like GPU's or laptops in the past and remembered to register the purchases. Money is green, and all the other AIB's would be happy to just take my money without the velvet rope.

To me this one of their best ideas. It shows they're customer focused - as if most folks here didn't know that already. Registering to get Elite status is fairly easy and you don't have to have 2 GPUs, I have only bought one EVGA card in my life and qualified...not only that there ware other pathways...the easiest being 100 forum posts. I get some folks who aren't Elite status are pissed, but as a move to combat bots I applaud their efforts. NO ONE else...not Amazon, Newegg, Best Buy, etc appeared to take any steps to help out legit customers. I signed up for Elite after seeing a forum post here at like 1am local time and was able to get a card today without issue. I didn't even have to refresh one time during the process. The FTW3 cards was locked to Elite, but eventually they opened up the floodgates and all hell broke loose just like everywhere else. I know it sucks & it sounds like FOMO, but no one will die because they didn't get one & EVGA will be dropping more.

EVGA listened to us. I'm VERY pleased with the result. Even if the launch was fraught with problems during checkout, it made a lot of sense to limit the scope to Elite members to attempt to keep scalpers at bay.

I am pretty upset with the launch. The closest I got was on Nvidia's website for the founders edition. It was in my cart but it would not go to the next step in the checkout. I also do not understand why EVGA stated the cards would go on sale at 9AM PST which is 12PM EST and it looks like I missed the whole thing. I am running with an old 980 GTX SC so I need the upgrade to play Warzone. I think Nvidia must have paid to have that game tax our gaming rigs on purpose:-| Yeah I am spreading rumers...lol. I will keep looking for the card but this is insane.

+1 EVGA did a great job limiting initial stock to Elite members. Far better opportunity to buy than other sites and rewards members.
