I just started learning about software development and I hape an idea to create some kind of app for pc users. Should I try to develop app on my own or it's better to use some help with that? Thanks
P.S. I know enough about hardware but not about software in general.

You'd better get some help if you don't know the software i.e. C, C++, Python, Ruby ect.
I've played with some of the software and if you don't know about data structures and the like you might get discouraged fast (like I know what I'm talking about --->no!).
You might find some open source software that might fit the bill (github comes to mind) as lot of software has been written for Windows and Linux.
With a little tweak here and there some of this may help although drivers for hardware may be problematic as manufacturers don't want to let developers know how their hardware works (Nvidia is notorious for this as are printer manufacturers esp. for Linux).
Take everything I just said with a large grain of salt.

Of course, the experience of a more experienced programmer will be helpful to you. Although you have the knowledge, I am sure you do not know all the nuances. I spent a lot of time studying programming when I was a teenager. But I don't particularly like this field, so I decided to study economics. After graduation, I saved up money for a few years to open an online shoe store. Even though I have knowledge of programming, I turned to to develop the software. I could not have made such good software as these guys.
