You pretty much nailed it on the head on this one. If anyone thinks they're going to get "all their news" from viewing "both sources", going from Fox to CNN (lolMSNBC), they're missing about 60% of the truth (I think that's being too generous). There is a lot of information such as Zerohedge, Next News Network, and Infowars provides that may not be put onto MSM. Honestly I avoid MSM; they're mostly cheerleaders that show what they want to show, a lot of it's fake. I'm going to check out that site you listed, I honestly never heard of it.

Be sure that you do check it out. But again be warned, this is not a locale on which individuals adhere to typically progressive orthodoxy. What you will find is the true nature of human kind. It's not pretty, but it is honest.

So I figure I will check out liveleak. One of the first things I click on is a minute diatribe from no other than Keith Oberman.
Who was even to far to the left for MSNBC, he was so bad he got fired from MSNBC That's bad. 5 minutes of my life I will never get back.
So I check out some news from the middle East. First headline I see is UFO bomb Turkish group. Must be martians.
OK It is satire, I hope. Then the next few clips look more like Jahadi recruitment videos. No context, seems more sympathetic to Shiite side but I am not sure really, hard to watch dirty scarggly bearded men with chicklets for teeth whose breath is so bad I can smell it way over here yelling "allahu akbar. god is greater" over and over. What ever side they were on, I am pretty sure it is not my side.
Let them fight their civil war, keeps them busy and they have something to do. Less to clean up later.
I guess to each their own, what ever floats your boat.

Sorry Panzlock, much like Bill1024, all I saw was a bunch of trolls who I do not represent the 'true nature of human kind'. I'd wager most of them were in their teens with the maturity of an 8 year old but the foul language of a 20 year old. There was nothing 'honest' or 'fascinatingly authentic' about it - these were what most people would consider sufferers of Aspergers Sundrome, with their utter lack of morality or compassion. I am far from having delicate sensibilities, I'm just not devoid of what separates humans from the rest of the animals on this planet. I also failed to see how this site was 'news'...  but if it keeps the trolls too busy to infiltrate the rest of the internet more extensively, then great.

I never entertained the notion that individuals making comments on that site are humanity's representatives. It's the footage that is compelling evidence against our lack of morals. You're looking at the wrong documentation.
 
Speaking of safe spaces, you read some negative commentary on Liveleak which you found repulsive and ran right back to a censored EVGA forum...Your safe space. Censorship solves nothing. This is why people are not well informed about the nature of the world. They don't understand where hate and cynicism are born and why. History will repeat itself. And liberals will open up those pages for a community that is ill equipped to deal with a conflict on such a broad scale.
 
And no, this is not a NEWS site. That...is what makes it truthful. Watch some of the regular videos and consider the actions of those depicted, regardless of commentary. The world is an imperfect place and you are a part of it.

I have already commented and had numerous run-ins with mods about censorship rules here, so don't start making unfounded claims about me when they are clearly completely wrong.
 
Of course the video bothered me - that should go without saying and that is why I didn't mention the video but the only the mean-spirited comments following it. The fact that you don't even understand that speaks volumes about where you are coming from. What I saw on that site wasn't hate and cynicism, and it certainly wasn't about understanding or learning, it appeared to be little more than a platform for a bunch of immature cowards hiding behind internet anonymity to put on display just how lacking they are in any semblance of morality or compassion, and making mean-spirited comments apparently in a bid to outdo each other and make the most outrageous comment of all. That has NOTHING to do with me allegedly needing a 'safe space' - I have no fear or need of protection from individuals like that, and if anything they should fear me if they ever had the guts to talk like that to anyone's face in my presence. Don't confuse 'honesty' and 'learning' and particularly uncensored 'discussion' with outright trolling.

You reported one thing you saw. How many things do you imagine you missed? In this case I wouldn't use the word "report". A report has some substance. You provided a short summary, at best, with no significant value.

But your actions can be taken as such. You visited a website, didn't like the content, hence you came here to provide feedback without actually exploring, and this was based on ONE VIDEO. One visit to a venue will not allow you to ascertain it's value. You need to spend some time and investigate. That's why I can say with confidence CNN is a propagandist machine given the content and rhetoric which I viewed for years.

I spent a lot longer than watching one single video there lol, I just chose to comment on that one as an example of my experience, but hey, feel free to make up any old story you like to suit your agenda, right? ..whatever the hell your agenda is, lol. While castigating me (incorrectly) for providing feedback on my experience allegedly based (incorrectly) on 'ONE' video, you make a judgement call on me based on my one comment posted here.... Gee.. pot, kettle, black - does that mean anything to you? Again, practice what you preach.
 
Furthermore, rather than content, I highlighted the comments made by the people who frequent the site - comments you specifically warned us about by stating "The rhetoric is vicious, yet fascinatingly authentic" ...Vicious? maybe, but only in the sense that it was cold mean-spirited nastiness. Fascinatingly authentic? lol.. that's about as accurate as describing a pile of feces as 'fascinatingly aromatic'. Why did you mention it and then get all offended that I commented on it? No my friend, it was bottom-of-the-barrel trolling there, nothing more. I saw no articulate discussion whatsoever.

As far as content goes, did you ever view rotten.com when that was still active? That was seriously stomach turning stuff. Liveleak is relatively mild in comparison. CNN is obviously a propaganda-driven machine, no argument here, and I don't think anyone here was arguing otherwise, so not sure why you're going off on that tangent.
 
Stick to what was being discussed and not personal attacks and we might get somewhere.
