Was playing Doom Eternal for about... I dunno... 7 minutes?
Crashed to desktop, and I went "Okay, maybe I changed too many settings."
Went back into the game and played another 7 minutes or so and it went into full shutdown.
Water pumps stopped, monitors went dead, all things no go.
Checked my power supply and it was fine. Rebooted my PC and no VGA.
Everything else was fine.
Cracked the thing open, reseated the card, checked power connectors, started back up... and there's a red "No power" led shining bright red at me on the back side of the card for the first power connector.
No lights for the other two.
Did this brand new RTX 3090 ftw3 just die on me after 3 weeks?

Swapped the power connectors just to make sure I didn't have a bad port in my power supply. That's not it...
No fans kick on, no FTW3 shroud lighting, nothing. Won't kick the card on. 😭😭😭😭

Awe man... I wish that would help.
Naw, this light is new. No power to the card at all, no possible way to push an update to it.

What rating is your PSU? I watched Linus use 2x sli 3090 ftw3s and the pc crashed pretty fast. I'd try a bigger psu from amazon and if that's not it then just return it

Have you tried the other bios that is loaded to the card and still no luck?

I switched bios over, still no luck.
PSU is a supernova 1k. Card was running stock with the OC bios switched on.

I am under the impression the LEDs are there to show section temps.  One of those may be used for a failure indication of the card, not sure.

But I was wondering, did you spend some time letting the card break in before gaming with it?  These things may already be broken in but I like to let electronics sort of settle in like a processor needs to do when you first install it..

If I EVER get a card, maybe I will be able to test..

These particular LEDs show power failure at connection site.
If you just plug the card in, or leave connections unplugged, the leds turn on to let you know there's no power to the connection.

I've had the card since the Saturday after launch day. 😁
Played all through RDR2, flew spaceships in ED VR, pretended to be a UPS driver in Death Stranding for a while...
There's no weird or crazy here, the thing just died.

It happens. I'm not mad about it...
Kinda sad, but not mad. I'm sure EVGA will have me back up and running in no time.
Kinda sucks that it happened on a Friday night though. Things always take forever when you have to wait for the weekend.

Anyone tracking the other AIB forums to see if a similar problem is arising?

I'm sure it's not a wide spread issue.
It might be as simple as some faulty fuses.

As with any product launch there will be some defects that make it through QC. I doubt this is any kind of widespread issue that needs monitoring of other AIB cards. Sucks you had to be one of the unfortunate few though. Hopefully they can get your card replaced quickly via RMA.

Just this morning but the card stopped working on me last week.. Its definitely a bummer as the card was working perfectly for about 5 days then shut down out of nowhere and got a red light on the card but no image on the monitor - computer wasn't even acknowledging that it was hooked up. The only saving grace of this ordeal is that the customer service for evga has been pretty good so far.

I remember this happening to some of the super high end rtx 2080tis as well.
Cards went dead after a couple weeks, single power failure led came on, same kinda stuff.
It wasn't widespread, and it wasn't just EVGA. Sometimes you get a lame duck... too bad though. This particular card seemed to perform pretty damned well.
Always held low temps during gaming, boosted really well, didn't have the crash to desktop problem, and put out some really rad numbers benchmarking it stock.
Honestly right up until this problem, it was an excellent card.

I recall the 2080ti issue was a bad batch and was due to faulty memory. This turned into a ordeal where people were trying to find out if they had samsung memory or micron on their boards. I wonder if it's another micron bad batch since this is new memory again.
