Ooh, the 2080 comes with white trim? Schwinnggg

I apologize it looks like the products have been updated recently and now all the cards for Step Up as part of the RTX line are Black trim.

Everything is security.

I can confirm that the cards updated on the program as of now are black edition cards.

Ahh. Bummer. Oh well, if the white trim comes back in stock I'll probably pick it up as a stocking stuffer for myself.

Still waiting for it to be delivered.

So did you get the card? How is it performing, and what does GPU-Z say about the chipset?

I did not check in GPU-Z. Holds stable around 2050-2100 (+160 offset) on the core and +500 on the memory. I am not patient enough to really tune the card. I tend to keep fans around 60-70% and the card (depending on ambient temps) is around 55c - 65c.

Seems like I might be hitting a power limit as the card only goes to 112%. Trying to decide if I should try the 2080 XC (non black) bios for a higher power limit.

How does this work: If I step up my 1080 to 2080, and the 2080 is worth $600 when I request one and I wait in queue for 5 months and the price drops on the 2080 from $600 to $400 while I'm waiting, will I have to pay the difference for the old price or the new price?

The price will not drop as Long as Demand is higher than supply, as Long as you don’t get your Card, that is the case.

I did a bit of overclocking last night amd tested with fire strike. I flashed the 2080 XC (non black) bios to my card for the 130% power target and got +1000 off set on the memory and 2130 on the core with a +175 offset. Core clocks go down to about 2100 even depending on temperature.

Are you using Precision X1 OC scanner for overclocking?

Waiting for the 2080 black as well, put my step up in back on Sept 6th. But without any games using the ray tracing or DLSS I guess waiting is ok.

You mean October 6th? I don't think it was available until September 18th.
