Mods, can we expect new BIOS soon? Edit: With the modded BIOS EVGA provided me and finding stable CO Curve and memory settings, my benchmarks are as good or even better than my old MSI board. :)

Fix is a pretty broad term. Need to know what you consider isn't working, what you expect to happen, and also your system specs (CPU, memory, MB, BIOS version, etc.).

I read PBO boost is broken. With stable much better Curve Optimizer settings, and roughly the same memory settings as my MSI X570S Unify-X Max, single-core and multi-core scores in Cinebench R23 and CPU-Z are a fair amount lower. Also, y-cruncher is over ten seconds slower, from 54 to 65 seconds. My bad, y-cruncher is only a bit less than 2 seconds slower, my best time was just under 64s and I get 65.63s now. Modded BIOS I might beat my best time, but not sure. I even tried manually setting the Curve and PBO settings with a PBO Boost Tool which is supposed to overcome the AGESA 1.2.0.7 VID limit problem with higher EDC settings. Tested with and without that too. 5950x EVGA X570 Dark 2x16GB G.Skill CL14 3600 Royal Elite BIOS 1.08

Oh, on that. What are the chances of getting a modded 1.08 X570 Dark BIOS with the CBS and PBS menus and all their entries unlocked. The AM4 AGESA BIOSes have those menus, but not available without modding the BIOS and it's beyond my skills to do that. Even though I started a thread on overclocking.net for the X570 Dark and FTW WIFI, I would never share a modded BIOS without express permission that I can. I am very proficient at overclocking, on this board got the #1 benchmark in the world on Blender OpenData a few days ago with a static CCX overclock, but PBO boost seems to be not working well, and missing those menus is very limiting. I have several threads and over 7000 separate posts on overclock.net https://www.overclock.net...ussion-thread.1800912/

Support ticket. I've heard EVGA support is excellent. "For the EVGA X570 Dark motherboard, it is absolutely vital I get an unlocked 1.08 or newer BIOS with the PBS and CBS menus and all their entries under every category in them unlocked and available in the BIOS that come with the AM4 AGESA bioses. These are vital to me as I enter overclocking competitions and have several threads running in overclocking forums about overclocking AM4 motherboards and these BIOSes. I also am starting an EVGA X570 Dark Overclocking & Discussion Thread on overclock.net. It is beyond me to mod the BIOS and do it myself, and I fear if I can find someone to mod it for me, it will not pass the security checks to be able to flash the BIOS. Can you mod the BIOS for me to make these menus available? Please let me know. My email is *********@gmail.com."
"Answer9/23/2022 8:31:26 AM Hello,
Thank you for reaching out. I have forwarded your request to our Product Management team to see if we can provide a modded BIOS. Please allow 1-3 business days to see if we have a way of assisting you.

Can you direct me to where other people have mentioned PBO Boost isn't working? Prior to BIOS 1.07 there were complaints, but after updating 1.07 and tweaks to get Ryzen Master to work, which should be in 1.08, I've only seen people with a 5800X3D mention difficulties with it. Not suggesting that you're wrong here, but it would be helpful to see other complaints from people.

It's likely those posts you're referring to I'm talking about. But with nearly exactly the same memory timings as my MSI Unify-X Max and far better Curve Optimizer settings, I mean quite a bit better on the DARK, every benchmark I run is slower than my Unify-X. I tried a ton of different EDC TDC settings etc. as well, with the much better CO Curve, every benchmark I run is slower on the DARK. This is why I think the PBO Boost is problematic. This might get better with a newer BIOS I hope, I'm not going to refund the board. I might RMA it though, as getting the memory fully stable is being problematic. I'm thinking I might have just lost the silicon lottery with this one. :(

EVGA provided me with a Dark BIOS with the PBS and CBS menus unlocked, but being a test BIOS that might introduce instability to inexperienced users, they asked me not to share it. I won't publically or even privately by PM, so don't ask, please. If after my extensive testing they allow me to share it, I will, but likely not.

I've also gotten my benchmarks very close to what I was getting with the MSI board I had, with these menus available, I can likely do better now. :)

Hi @ WolvenShadows Have you tried overclocking your ram with x570 Dark? I'm curious to know since I would be purchasing a very similar kit and wonder how far did you get. I'm planning on getting either one of this F4-3600C14D-32GTZN F4-3600C14D-32GTZRA. I'm also pairing my x570 Dark with 5800x3d.

G.Skill CL14 3600 Royal Elite Ram voltage is 1.54v, VTTs at .770v. But I sent the first kit back to Newegg for a second same kit. The second kit was a decent bin, the first kit was awful. :(

When TM5 finishes testing, I'll post an Imgur link with all my BIOS settings. I'm using a modded BIOS. You can do a support ticket and request it, or maybe @EVGATech_LeeM can provide it.

I checked my voltages with the Probe It adaptor and multimeter with DROOP at 25%. Very little DROOP on anything but the RAM set in BIOS at 1.545v in the multimeter is 1.54v. I'm okay with that, because 1.54v is what I'm stable at. :) Edit: RAM at 1.545v in BIOS, at idle is 1.545v, running OCCT memory stress test is 1.543v, running OCCT CPU stress test is 1.54v. That makes sense though, you get the most vdroop running all the cores on your CPU at maximum like the CPU stress test does.

Question: In the BIOS the tooltip for Vcore PWM Frequency says going over 800 is inefficient and just causes heat. I run it at 1000 as I hope it helps my overclocking ability. Would I be better at trying 800 and retesting my CO Curve and memory stability?

My CO Curve might be stable. I've passed Core Cycler 720-720 FFTs SSE, OCCT Gold CPU Stability Test, y-cruncher HNT and C17 stress tests and last night 100 cycles of Linpack XTreme. I DID set max CPU temp limit at 80 though, because Linpack will max out at the default 90, but it's still pretty much max boost as it maxes out at 632 Gflops and the max I've gotten no temp limit is 655 Gflops.
