I received my RMA gpu today and was told to unregistered my old card and register the new one. I was told will my 10 year warranty would carry over to the replacement but registering this gpu has took my 10 year warranty away?

Is there anyway possible to check if this is a refurb or a brand new card? It didn’t come in it’s original box :(

I received my RMA gpu today and was told to unregistered my old card and register the new one.

Any Product received from an RMA by EVGA is Automatically Registered.
Was this RMA Not Processed through EVGA?
Who told you to unregistered your old card?
I have done a few RMA's and EVGA has never told me to unregistered the Product, this is even after asking EVGA.
I have a few RMA 5 Year warranties that do not show 5 Years but are covered based on the Original Product Invoice.

not to sure who it was that mentioned to unregister it, will have a look in my old posts and find out. It's fixed now though as soon as I registered the serial number the 10 year warranty automatically came over after a few minutes. Just curious to know if this is a brand new card or not though?

Was the Card in a Black Box or the Retail Box like the fist Card.
If Black Box then it is not a New Card.

it was in an ordinary brown box, not a retail. Damn that sucks :( hope this one last longer than 2 years then. Can't be bothered with RMA's every few years if this one doesn't hold up. It runs like 5c hotter than my old one as well, The old gpu never went above 64c this one hits like 69/70c.

I thought I would only be covered for another 8 years since it's 2 years since I had the card or does the warranty start from scratch again?

Just realised I've done a typo on the dates, put the 12/10/2018 instead of the 10/12/2018, anyway to fix this?

I do not recall you saying you have had the card for 2 years but yes you have 8 of the 10 years left.

Both Dates would be incorrect if your Card is 2 years old.
You need to use the Date from your Invoice when you bought the Card.
This is one of my RMA's that was also pre-registered by EVGA

Just to chime in here, the information shown on the website is not what we base any warranty information off of when we review a product. We review the previous product in case of a RMA, anything that was on the product that was replaced (such as extended warranty) is referenced when we review a claim against the replacement.

    Everything is security.
