So I looked it up. According to their website, as of Feb 25, 2021, only intel 10th and 11th gen cpu's support it, like maverick said. I'm guessing the cpu, chipset, AND card have to support it for it to be functional? Would need evga's input on this to know if enabling it on z3xx boards would, in fact, be able to take advantage of it in any way. I could see it being a big benefit for my VR gaming

Yes, that is what I was referring to.  If this were the case, I'm not sure why any manufacturer would bother adding it to Z370/Z390.  It doesn't really add up.

I'll also add here that we plan to roll out Resizable BAR support for Z370 motherboards before the end of the month.

That would certainly be nice, anything that improves VR performance would be very welcome.

So I'm on a Z370 Classified and it's great that we're seeing this boards add support but Nvidia is saying 10/11th gen CPUs only?  Do they just mean "so far" or is adding to the 300 series boards pointless now?


I don't think that all motherboard manufacturers (EVGA, MSI, ASUS, GIGABYTE, etc.) who updated all chipsets from 2018 onwards (z390, H310, H370, B360, etc.) did the job for nothing.

Z370 updates should be coming soon.  They're undergoing final testing right now.
 
Regarding the NVIDIA link, I don't have much to comment about that.  I can only speculate that maybe NVIDIA and Intel are only willing to guarantee that there will be support for 10th/11th Gen processors (and maybe leave it up to partners to provide additional support), but that's about it, and that's pure speculation.

In febuary, you said that support for Z370 was going to be available before the end of the month. We are now the 15 of march. Will this be dropping anytime soon?
