Got the game today, and have been working on getting sli working with it...

Single RTX 2080 Ti:

SLi:

Settings used:

Note: Images don't look very good as I have HDR enabled which messes up the screenshot quality. This thread isn't meant to be a benchmark thread, just wanted to show off what two rtx 2080 ti's can do in the game, and to let everyone know that sli is possible. Open the images in a new tab to see the images in better detail.

Been thinking of picking this up since it’s been like 20 years since I played the original and am happy to hear it’s more then just a remake with better graphics but they also made improvements as well.

The performance in the game is all over the place for me. The game needs serious optimization imo.

I think it has to do with the past remakes for the other REs plus a few of the sequels including RE7 and spinoff games not living up to a high enough expectation like they had hoped. It feels like with RE2 Remake they set out to really prove they had what it took to release a stellar RE game and it shows. Only disappointment is everyone on Twitch and Youtube mostly starts with Leon so soon as I get this game I plan to start as Claire.

The remake of this game is hands down worth it. Graphics look phenomenal. I can't wait for the other titles to be redone and hopefully add some new characters and different endings.

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

The one thing that has blown me away just from watching Twitch streams of this game is how much better it looks in comparison to RE7 despite both using the same engine. Then again RE7 did tend to look like hot garbage in quite a few areas of the game.

Thanks for this. This is actually the only profile out of like 6 I've tried today that works. Pity though that you have to turn off motion blur and onscreen reflections (they add substantially to the atmosphere). Do you know if that guy has made any updates to that profile, any improvements? Would love to see RE2 support SLI in DX12. Shadow of the TR was an SLI candy in that regard, I wish all big game developers did the same.
