Interesting that you say that. Maybe I have a skewed perception of the value of zone count, and the contrast ratio and dimming algo matters more in reality. Dead Space's HDR had significant blooming on my Innocn 27mv2 in pitch black areas where there was little light.
I definitely can't use an OLED as I spend 90% of my time on my PC doing programming or other productivity. Maybe Dead Space is just an extreme outlier in it's pitch blackness and sharp contrast in brightness, I haven't had played any other games with true native HDR implementation.
 
It would be nice if there was an easier way to see for yourself the various monitors in person. Especially having to order directly from overseas distributors.
Buying the 27mv2 was going out on a limb as there's only a little info on it outside of rtings. I don't regret the purchase but perhaps I would have been more content with the U8 or 5088 instead.
 
The u8 is piquing my interest from how you've described it. Having a 2nd monitor would make my life a lot easier too πŸ˜‚
