Hi All,
I just played rage and noticed that the 2nd GPU is at 0% usage all the time...i'm using the BF3 Beta Drivers. Is there an EVGA SLI Enhancement patch to fix that?

Btw, the game looks great and it's running at a solid 60fps with everything maxed out even with a single GTX 580 !!!

The latest steam patch was supposed to help enable some SLI usage in Rage but I have not noticed a change at all.......
Good news is that it isn't really needed, game runs fine on single cards.  You will probably need to wait for a proper Nvidia driver update.

id software is aware of problems even with the new patch applied and they are also working with NVIDIA.

I second that, it actually runs pretty good with a single 580..as you said I guess an nvidia driver update will fix the SLI issue.

Id software allready said we need a new driver to fix a lot of the problems we are all haveing...

I would like SLI to work (and it will) .. I do see frame drops some times in 40-50s range with 16x AA.. but with SLI should be able to 100% max it at all times...

I confirm seeing some frame drops in 40-50's range as you mentioned with 16xAA...

A Quick question...is the game based on OpenGL?? Coz EVGA Precision detected it as OpenGL not D3D..

Yes... rage uses OpenGL for all rendering ... but Rage also uses directX for audio...  just like doom3..

Also make sure you have the rageconfig.cfg
file in the steam base folder...that's needed to
get the full glory with 8K texture...you can try 16384 instead
of 8192 but for me I didn't see any difference.

SLI doesn't work right now, but, if you have 2 cards and you enable GPU transcoding, it will use the second GPU for texture transcode.

Really.. I didnt know that... But unfortunately I cant use GPU transcode as it cuses way to much texture poping.....

    Whaiting for driver

This may sound strange but i noticed the game ran smoother with a single card enabled rather than SLI

For us higher resolution peeps (2560x1440) one 580 is NOT enough. Let's get some SLI going here guys!
