Hello all,

First of all i am new to the forum after today only receiving my new PC with a EVGA GTX 2080ti inside.

I am not the best on PC's so bare with me and if anybody needs anymore info to help then i will be glad to do so.

The issue i have is, when i have been playing Call Of Duty - Modern Warfare the GPU temp seems to be very quick at reaching 80 degrees. I have attempted to change the settings in Precision X1 by changing the fan curve, however i am pretty sure i am not doing this correctly. I have tried to attach an image of the current settings however i am not sure how this will come out sorry.

Can anybody give me some guidance on how best to set the fan curve up as i really wouldn't want to be running the card all day at 80+ degrees.

Thanks

Some other system specs would be useful, especially the your case manufacturer and number of fans in the system.  I have two intake fans in my Cordair case and three exhaust (one in  the case and two with my CLC280.  My overall heat with my 2080 TI Black (2282) normally tops at 74C.  If airflow in your case is lacking...it could cause higher temps.

    please post system specs:

    I use steppings like this:

    50C--50% fan speed
    60C--60% fan speed
    70C--70% fan speed
    80C-75% fan speed
    90C--80% fan speed

Beyond 80% fan speed might get quite noisy...but raising fan speed sooner will lower temps...give it a try

You need to click on "Fan Curve Control" to light up the box and "Apply" to activate fan curves.

Drag the setpoints to where you want them or use a predefined/preset fan curve..Custom fan curves are a matter of user preference, balancing temperature to noise.

You can delete setpoints by clicking to light them up and press the keyboard Del key..You can add setpoints by clicking on the curve line..You can change from curve to steppings and vice-versa by double-clicking in the Fan Curve Editor.

You can save profiles that have different fan speed curves..You can assign a hotkey to activate a profile at any time, even in-game.

You can't post links until you have 10+ forum posts, but putting a space after the https:// part of the URL should allow them to be shown.

Welcome to the forums..Be sure to read the Ultimate Self-Starter Thread For New Members if you haven't yet..Lots of good info there for you.
