I have a new EVA 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra and an HP Reverb G2 headset (revised version). Was working fine with previous graphics card.
Getting error code 1-4 check display cable.
Confirmed headset is still working fine on another PC. Confirmed all ports on the graphics card are good. VR hardware shows in Device Manager but no VR monitor showing under monitors. Motherboard BIOS is fully updated and all Windows Updates installed. Did a clean install of latest Nvidia drivers and still not working
Under Support section in WMR it shows the 3090 Ti as not tested and unsure of compatibility. Anyone else having issues getting WMR to work with a 3090 Ti?

I will give it a shot but have never used WMR so give me a few. I have the 3090 FTW3 though I would not think that mattered.

Well disregard. I had removed it a while back because I had no plans to use it.

This is usually indicative of a broken VR headset cable or a bad USB port." We should try to keep like conversations in 1 Thread ... that Helps everyone Moving to Software

I am wondering what was the older GPU you used and did you use the USB on the graphics card? Mostly VR issues can be fixed by a good quality headset cable. I have a Quest 2 myself and while I like the option to play wirelessly I have a fiber optic USB 3.2 cable and it's been very good for me for games where I am mostly playing sitting down like Tetris Effect or Star Wars Squadrons for standing games I normally go wireless since that is now an option for me.

"Old" card was a 3090 FTW3 Ultra (non-Ti). No other hardware or software configuration changes other than reinstalling drivers and WMR after I initially got the problem.

You put the New 3090Ti specific Nvidia driver in as a Clean install ? This seems to be a driver/software issue & not a hardware issue. Your not the only person having issues with that VR hardware & software

Yes clean install, latest driver.
This is specific to 3090 Ti + G2. Everyone with this combination is reporting that it does not work. There are threads about it here, Reddit and Microsoft Feedback Hub already. With this hardware combination the Mixed Reality Monitor will not appear in device manager under Monitors.
So far no company is taking the blame and pointing at the others.

Hope Nvidia, MS & VR company - work together to create the firmware/ software update required I'd be filing Bug reports with all 3 companies

Just got my Samsung Odyssey+ headset working after a week of trouble after installing my new EVGA 3090Ti.
As soon as I disconnected my second monitor from the DVI port beside my Odyssey's HDMI port, while hot (computer up and running), the headset was detected and started working. I plugged my second monitor into the DVI port one over, so that my two monitors are in the first and second DVI ports, leaving the third empty, and all seems to be working fine. Good stuff, hope it helps others.

TEMPORARY SOLUTION! until an update comes from Microsoft/NVIDIA/HP I can absolutely confirm that the original HP Reverb G2 V1 cable works and is a temporary solution. I purchased the V1 cable on Ebay:
I also installed a USB expansion card with both USB-A and USB-C ports:
I just got the cable today and have only done preliminary testing with the HMD in WMR, I have not run it in any simulation just yet but don't for see any issues.

Yeah this was reported on Reddit, but thanks for adding it here. Also via Reddit, HP has procured an 3090 Ti and recreated the issue on their end. They're now working to figure out why the cable revision does not work.

Radio silence as far as I have seen. Not at all reassuring for such an expensive product.
