Legit, thanks Lee.  The beta version has fixed the 3rd fan from going nuts.

I have a beta PX1 version for you guys to try to fix the fan issue.  I'll PM you guys shortly.


I'd like to try this version as well. Fan 1 seems to be fine. Fan 2 shows no RPM in the hardware monitor, even when spinning. It will spin constantly, whether I set fan speed to 0 or 100. The fan speed slider has no effect either way. Fan 3 constantly fluctuates in a pulsing fashion. (like Monolyth's pic posted earlier). This is on a 3090 FTW3 Gaming.

I installed this beta a few hours ago and I have to say it's mostly fixed the fan problems for me. The previous version 1.1.0.2 had Fan 3 fluctuating around 5% of the custom automatic fan setting. Now it's fluctuating 1% of the custom automatic fan setting. Fans 1 and 2 fluctuate a little, a couple of RPMs, but they stay within 1%. 
 
Much better improvement, but that 1% fluctuation is killing my ADHD.

So I thought wasn't having this issue. I was using a 0db fan profile I made and kept hearing spin up. Turn outs fan 3 was jumping all over the place and I never noticed it till now. It looks like this fixed it and everything is staying where I set it w/ custom curve.

Ok, looks like the fan 3 issue is back. I have the automatic fan control setting fan 3 at 20% and it's ranging from a low of 14% to a high of 25%... Really annoying to say the least :/

What is the behavior of the fans without PX1 installed?  Do they work correctly? 
The reason I ask is because I don't want to have to run PX1 in the background just to make my fans work correctly.

Yes, you can actually just install PX1 and even uninstall it the firmware still applies.

Oh I see when you keep having them install different versions of PX1 you are actually reflashing the GPU bios each time.

The newest version for the 30 series cards is 1.1.0.9 If you go to px1 download in evga products you will see there is 2 different versions of px1, rtx 30 series and then the original px1 for previous gen cards.

After isntalling the latest version of PX1 and updating the firmware on my card, the 3rd fan is stuck at 100% after waking from sleep.  I have to close out of PX1 and restart it to get it to respond.  When it opens, the fan is showing 100% even though it's in line with the others.  I have to click Default to get the sliders and fan 100% reading to reset.

That will be worked on.  The SW team was working on fixing a different sleep fan issue, and it seems like it created a new issue for you, instead.  I've recommended elsewhere, but please try to first uninstall the program, go to %LocalAppData%\EVGA_Co.,_Ltd\ and delete all setting files that start with "PrecisionX_x64".  Next, reboot and reinstall PX1 v1.1.0.9 and let me know if the issues continue to occur.
 
Also, please post a screenshot of the information page.

with my 3090 I never heard a fan speed difference but I have used custom curve since day 1. 
PX1 has updated the card firmware twice now so hopefully it isn't an issue

Experiencing the same issue here. Fan 3 is always roughly 25% off the other two fans. My info pane screenshot:

Which driver version? We are aware of a current bug affecting fanspeeds with latest driver.

I have been a member since 2014, but I have 0 posts and 0 score so I can't send a PM.
 
I have a 3080 FTW3 Ultra and my Fan 3 is also jumping RPMs towards the lower end of the curve (20%) and I was hoping I could get the beta PX1 to see if it resolves my issue. @EVGATech_LeeM if you see this, could I get a download link for the beta PX1? I am currently running the version 1.1.0.11 and info attached.

Ah OK, I'll sit tight. I feel like the previous driver was a few % off on fan 3 and not the 25% that I have now although purely anecdotal and from memory. I was actually trying to fix a separate problem before finding this thread. I had the whole Precision X1 not being able to start. Deleted cfg and still didn't work, this beta worked to get the app launched.

Hi EVGA Team / All,
 
   I am having an issue with auto fan control. When GPU temperature reaches 83 degrees, fan 2 stops spinning and fan 3 goes to 99%. I see this in PX1 on my second monitor while gaming on my first monitor. 
I have been having this issue on previous versions of Nvidia drivers and original bios / firmware.

I am having the issue with a 3080 ftw3 ultra. Fan 2 is just stuck at 100%. No way to controll it.
I will check the new pc1 beta version today.

I have tested both 456... And 457.09. Both have the issue for me.

I have just noticed also strange fan behaviour once trying to set manual fan curves...FAN 1+2 running at different ratios than FAN 3
Does this work as intended or is this a bug?
 
For example to set all fans to spin at ~1500rpm (which is ~50% speed) I have to set:
Fan 1: 65%
Fan 2: 65%
Fan 3: 50%

I am experiencing a similar issue.
 
With fan speed set to locked 51% for all 3 fans I get the following speeds:
Fan 1: 30%
Fan 2: 30%
Fan 3: 51%
 
Even if I run a fan curve, Fans 1 & 2 still lag behind by about 20%.
