I purchased a EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING from Micro Center and was informed that it is the lite hash rate version.
However, there's no markings or any indications that it is the lite hash rate version on the box, and the P/N is the same as 10G-P5-3897-KR listed on the EVGA website.
So how can I confirm if it is the lite hash rate version or not? Although I don't mine but I dislike the idea of paying for a gimped version of a graphic card that will probably affect its resale value if I ever want to upgrade in the future.

Yeah, just download a miner and run it for a few minutes. Should easily be above 80MH/s (can get above 100MH/s with some tuning). If it's LHR it will probably start close to 80MH/s and then drop down to 50MH/s or less after a minute or two.

Oh, but who told you it was the LHR version?
As far as I know the KR vs KL should be the way to know which is which. It will be pretty messed up if they are releasing KR SKUs with LHR and then eventually switch to KL, that will cause a lot of confusion.

Keep it, if it's true, most likely not. You can say this was the LHR version and gamers will buy your gpu over non LHR...

It was the Micro Center employee that hand out the vouchers. There were multiple variations of RTX 3080 available that day (eVGA, ASUS & MSI). He asked everyone who picked eVGA if we are miners because he was told this batch of eVGA RTX 3080s cannot be used for mining. For anyone that suggest to mine and see if it's LHR version or not, well I still haven't opened it yet and I would return it if it is indeed a LHR version. I prefer not to open it if possible as returning it opened would force Micro Center to resell it as open box and losing profit in the process. It would be whole lot easier if eVGA makes it clear in the box or the P/N if it is a LHR version.

The microcenter employee was wrong. If its KR its full rate, if its KL its half rate. If the part number on the box is KR than thats what the card is.

Mining Ethereum is still plenty profitable. It's even profitable on LHR cards.

Anyone know if the ones that come with the barebones systems from MC are LHR or not? Or doees it just depend on what they have in stock

Hi i just got a EVGA rtx3080 but the P/N is 10G-p5-3885-kh and it dont end with KL so am i good i dont seem to be able to find that p/N with KH though
That’s a Best Buy part number. You know who you are, and I have messaged you, but your username choice does not comply with EVGA rules, so your post has been removed until EVGA changes your username.
