Getting a 3070 Ti soon for my niece and now her brother wants one as well.

My niece built her 1st custom build all by herself in a 4000D, x570, 5600x with a RM750 PSU (smart girl).

My nephew, on the other hand, bought a HP Omen 30L 5600x pre-built with a 500w PSU & a 2060.

Question is, will a 3070 Ti FTW3 or a XC3 fit in the 30L and is 500w PSU sufficient (looks OK by my calculations)

Based on HP's website, it shows it with a 3080 and 3090, so it should handle a 3070 Ti.

As for the power supply, I personally won't trust a 500w PSU in a prebuilt, when the minimum recommended by EVGA is a 750W. The overall power consumption may be less than 500W but I, myself, always go with at least the minimum recommended or a litter over with regards to the PSU.

    Primary: i9-10850 @ 4.8 GHz | EVGA GeForce RTX3080  Ti FTW3 Ultra | ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E | OS/App HDD: WD Blue SN550 1TB | Game HDD: WD Black SN750 1TB | Storage HDD: WD Black 4TB | Corsair Vengeance PRO 64GB (4 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 | Corsair H150i | Corsair Obsidian Series 900D | Corsair HX series HX-850 850W
    Secondary: i7-10700K @ 4.6 GHz | EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra | ASUS PRIME Z-490-A | OS/App HDD: WD Blue SN550 1TB | Game HDD: WD Black SN750 1TB  | Corsair Vengeance PRO 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600 | Corsair H100i | Corsair Obsidian Series 650D | Corsair AXi series Digital AX1200i 1200W

The cards that HP uses are custom cards built for their system so they are much shorter.

Contact hp support. Get internal demensions for GPU. Those pc's have custom cards built just for that chasis. Usually they are smaller or thinner than AIB cards.

    Hi,

The EVGA FTW3 3070 ti (08G-P5-3797-KL), it is longer than what EVGA claims at length 11.81 inches. I recall total length around 12.5 to 12.75 inch due to the triple fan header.
That black fan header, it sticks out past the edge of the card, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch ish.

It will not fit into my HP Omen 30L case.

My HP Omen 30L, has the i9 10850K, had the HP 3090 vid card in it.

If you try to fit this 3070ti into the Omen 30L case, it will barely squeeze into it but still cannot, the HD cage, for lack of better words, at the front of the Omen case, it will bend
(if you cut it out from the case, probably will be enough room). The tab at the video cards mounting plate, it will hit the case when sliding it in, there's no wiggle room.
NO way to fit this card into that case.

My EVGA FTW3 3070 ti card pulled just over 309w with Heaven 4.0 benchmark running, the GPU and memory junction kept cool, much cooler than what I expected
(compared to my Omen HP 3090 in the same thermaltak v100 PC case).

That extra $200 for thia EVGA FTW3 3070ti ($800 msrp) seems to be worth it for their cooling.
Although I'd rather save $100 and get the non ftw3 3070ti with this same cooling (the non ftw3 have this I think), i don't need the fancy RGB stuff.

I got my 3070ti from antonline, $1187 for it with a lenevo 27in gsync compatible 165hz 2K monitor ($940 ish with tax for my 3070ti, as I've seen these monitors sell for $270 to $300).
