What FPS are you guys getting in Battlefield 5  with the 2080 ?
In battlefield 1 i was getting way higher fps , does this game require really that much more power ?
Im staying over 60 some maps even hits 90s but i was expecting higher .

Make sure to use DX 11 and that future frame rendering is ENABLED

He needs to run it at DX12 if he is using RTX features

Use DX11 and enable future frame rendering as stated above, DX12 is not usable right now and there is no RTX features at the moment.  Also the windows 1809 update isnt out yet so you can't even use it if they had it.

Higher cpu usage, gives 40+ more frames per sec on Ti

It's been enabled by default on all past games. This is the first BF game where it was off by default. There is an explanation on Reddit somewhere that is a 20 minute read. It's really complex. General guidance is to turn it on.

BFV patch of roughly 25 GB will be released at 1:00 AM PST 11/14. The understanding is the patch will include enhancements for DX12 that fix the horrible stutter, etc.

Also, as of right now, RTX feature support still isn't enabled in the game. Devs are saying it will come at a later time right now.

I have in 1920x1080 and everything on Ultra in Multiplayer between 150 and 170 FPS with my RTX 2080 SC ULTRA
    DX11- future rendering enabled
But stutters randomly( every 15-20min some weird lag spike, i can feel it and also the BF overlay says its GPU related ), but still over 100 FPS.
With dx12 is unplayable currently it stutters every 3-4 seconds
hopeful this gets fixed after Patch

with 200% res. scale ( 4k ) i have avg. 60-80 FPS, on big explosion it drops under 50 FPS

System is not overclocked, CPU runs with stock clocks( allcore 4.3GHz w/ TB 3.0 ).

Have you seen the performance drop when enabling DXR, the game is unplayable that's even with a RTX 2080 and a intel i7 8700k o/c to 4.8ghz I'm getting around 35 fps and have to play the game in low just to get the frames up to 60

    DICE had problems w/ DX12 implementation features all through BF4 , BF1 , and now in BF5.

Wow that is bad but I would put more of the blame on Dice on implementing this and look at their for getting DX12 working for their previous BF titles. Not blame the technology but  the ones who try to implement.

We will see if Shadow of the Tomb Raider gets a patch to this game which I play. I don't even play any of the BF that much at all.

I think so but I'd rather use DX12 unless you're having issues than I would keep it disabled like I do with BF1.

DX12 runs much better ( no stuttering ) but sometimes i get lag spike for 1 sek ( game fezzes for 1sek and runs back normal again ).
With Perfoverlay i can see its CPU related.

( RTX is off, because it is missing many reflections in the current state and the performance cost to much )

Characters( mostly likely in the BFV main screen menu ) still have artifacts in the faces with RTX Graphic cards.

So it's looking like you'd  be safest with a 2080 Ti, if you want to get some use out of RTX on V.

Hopefully the next game uses RTX better...or...

The RT performance will be better in later patches, the current RT status is experimental.
