Thanks fellas!... Bad news is the front face plate on this case is defective (Power button fails to operate... Cheap plastic glue fail)... waiting for a shipment late next week from Corsair with a new front end... Part of the delay for more pretty pics...

Ok folks... I broke down, yeah I know... I have a weekness/sickness and there is no hope. Just embrace it =]... I do!   I have a third 470 inbound. Unfortunately the entire US is out of the Swiftech blocks they made for EVGA so I ordered a HeatKiller unit... ( Link) The plan is to put this card/block in the lower PCI-E slot and press the EVGA cards close together allowing for any alignment issues of the inlet/outlet holes... Yes I am going to add this to my single loop. Talk about pushing the envelope! I have faith and just about enough clearance left in the RAD to accommodate this change. Even with my now 4.0Ghz CPU Clock... Should have all the parts in by Friday this week...

the reasoning for this build is simple, but works
and omg that white tubing looks so clean!

Thanks all!... Bad news day.... I got a beautiful HK Block today.. Mounted it... Went to install it in my system, and it is 1/8" to low to use with the EVGA blocks. Man I am so bummed. I just refuse to have any flinstone stuff and should have never tried this. So I now get to sell that block cheap... yippy.... A fellow member did however have a used one of the EVGA Swiftechs!!! Woo Whooo!!! Paid for that just now... should see it on Monday... I put the factory air back on.. OMG it runs 11c hotter at idle!!!   Off to do a TRI SLI run...

Nice Score  get back on steam :P id post some scores with my 465 but vantage decides to frame cap at 30fps and i can get better scores with sli 8800gt's now thats just wrong. hmmm should i try and bench the gx2 im folding on? /back on topic :)

The ASUS card runs exactly like the FTW cards do. Stable and able to clock rock solid to 750 in anything I throw at it. The problem is the air cooling. I absolutely hate hate hate hate it. I have to crank the fan to no less than 90% in order to keep the card stable... If it gets to 77c it starts to "Sparkle" on my screen and crash. I know folks all have different feelings wants and needs.. But I am liquid cooling dude and so hate this air cooling... That said... Three of these 470's is outperforming my old 5870's (3). They are smoother, better color and I would find it hard to believe that I could be happier than I am right now. FPS jumped 35% at minimum on everything I have tried so far but New Vegas. Still have to run that dang game on one monitor... Pretty sure my original intent of getting the next refresh (5xx) is now a no no. They would have to offer to much performance increase now for me to drop any coin. But that is OK... That keeps with the intent of this build, price/performance Gaming system...

Man, tough luck with the block. At least you were able to find an HC block for it. Even on air those clocks are very nice. Shucks, even at stock clocks 3 of those 470s will spank most games out now and in the near future.
It'll be quiet and cool once you get them back on liquid. I'm a bit pissed at myself for not doing the same thing. I should have kept the 470s and just added another one like you and I'd have saved a bundle and be happy with it. Not that I'm crying with the 480s or anything, but I really did love those 470s for the price/performance arena.
I think we are in the same ball park with the 580. Those cards will have to really be awesome for me to go for it. The only way I'd do it is if I can step-up for very low cash at this point.
Can't wait to see your three 470s in the loop. I'm very interested in what kind of temps your get.
