Hey so, I've seen that EVGA updated their product page for the RTX 3000 series with the cooler design being with black lips instead of red ones..
Those who ordered the cards recently, like I did.. last Saturday, will get the black lips? (Ordered from Newegg btw)
or still retain those red lips?
Maybe you guys know?

Haven't heard of the "black lips" getting into anyone's hands yet, don't know how many red ones have to go out first, but I do wonder.

My 3090 ordered on 10/23 from New Egg has red trim. So unlikely.

The red accents aren't my thing.. and I wasn't a fan of them when my 3090 arrived. But I forgot about them as soon as I installed my card. For me, my case is a sleeper build rig that sits behind and to the right of me, so the only thing I see is my giant temp bar ARGB, which is all I wanted tbh.

Warranty is "has to look like stock" so take that how you will. If you use something like Plastidip that you can remove before you send it in, you might be in luck.

GN did a tear town of the EVGA cards and tried to remove the the red trim, unfortunately it is more than just a snap on piece. It will likely require a whole new fan shroud to change the color.

Any update on this? Someone posted on Reddit that they just received a 3080 FTW3 with black lips instead of red. For those that get one with red lips, will there be a fix?

This is what I always refer to it as: The Taylor Swift Lipstick GPU. Noooooooo! lol Seriously though, are there some 3D printed covering that would just sit on top/over the red parts or something? LOL - my 3090 FTW3 Ultra received Monday has the red lips, not crazy about it but certainly not a deal breaker for me.

It is by the juice of PSU that graphics acquire speed, the card acquires lips, the lips become a meme. It is by reboot alone I set my PC in motion.
