Pro tip for anyone in Australia wanting to pre order. Do it now while it still lasts, but from the Australian localised EVGA page (do not do it from the US one as you can't ship to Aus from there). I just pre-ordered a FTW3 for $USD1 (device price of $USD799) in and it looks like it's all good. No need to go through Mail Forwarding services anymore it seems. Good thing I checked the Aus site as I didn't even realise EVGA were doing localised shipping for purchases through their own site, I thought it was through external resellers only.

So on the fence with these upgrades, Im about to get my 2 1080 ti Founders editions from the step up, should I sell those and buy these for the minimal bumps in speeds?

I ordered about half an hour ago, and it all went through fine, I got the receipt in email, I checked the Order History on the EVGA page and it seemed all good. Now I just went back to the EVGA page to double check the order history, and when I click on "PRE ORDERS" (which does have a "(1)" next to it), it spits this out:  I'm assuming this is just a page issue and my order is still lodged and secured?

Ok I just checked the regular (USA) version of the EVGA site and I can see the order as it should be:  My question therefore is, has my order been processed correctly and through the AU version of EVGA? I ask because of the shipping restrictions on the regular US EVGA that limits shipping to within the American continent. Any clarification you could provide on this would be great Chris.

I wasn't even planning on ordering an FTW3 today, but I couldn't ignore that unexpectedly great price today plus the free shipping. Now to get rid of my FE, which I wasn't expecting to have to do...

That $1 authorization for the system to check if its a valid card. Doesn't mean its gonna post. It even said it wouldn't charge till its ready to ship.
It could have already dropped from sight.

Good question Blazin. Not sure. Quite possibly if it is being shipped from the US and is over $AUD1000. It it does incur such a tax, that is unfortunately up to us to fork out for. I have imported such items before, and it's a fairly straight forward process.
