Precision X1 Auto Fan Control won't work, Can't install Gamer Ready drivers

I have tried this last week to get the Auto Fan control to work in Precision X1 (v0.3.17.0) but every time I turn it on it just kills the fans to 0%. Manually setting the % works just fine though.
 
Specs:
WIN10 Pro
Intel 7820X
EVGA x299 FTWK
EVGA RTX 2080ti FTW3 Ultra
Corsair 64gb Dominator Platinum RGB
Corsair AX1200
Corsair MP510 256gb (OS)
Samsung 1tb 960 Evo
 
 
This is coming from a fully fresh format. No hardware has changed other than the GPU (I previously had a EVGA 1080ti FTW3). Another odd thing that I have never encountered before is that I CANNOT install Nvidia's Gamer Ready Drivers... I HAVE to use the Creator Ready driver (419.67). When I try to use GRD drivers it says that " This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware " .
 
Is this a bad card, because I will just simply send it back to Amazon no problem. Or is anyone else having either of these issues?

    Fresh format of which windows 10 build version? Have you tried older versions of precision?

    I am seeing issue with 0.3.17.0 so am going back to 0.3.16.0 for now.

    Yes, but it sounds like the op is talking about enabling automatic fan control for fan curves.

    I was having this problem as well after updating X1. There is a tiny button above the Fan Speed Update Period box that must be enabled. I missed it because it is really tiny, and not exactly obvious as you have to enable that and the auto button in the Fan Speed box.
