Hey folks, I'm new here. So I just shipped a "Evga Gtx960 4gb ssc, slapped it in but ran into a problem. I have a "mustiff 800w" power supply with a 6 pin cord. As you know the card requires 8, the adapter it comes with has 2 6 pins. Do I really need a new power supply? It seems the 6 pin from 800w isn't enough. Its still saying plug in the "cable(s)" for it to power the card.

Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'd get a better quality PSU as yours doesn't even give an output rating for the +12 volts. I'd be surprised if it put out more than 350 watts total.  You didn't list the rest of your hardware but any quality 500 watt or better PSU from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, Silverstone etc etc should be fine.

If you look at specific models (Amazon.com is a good resource), they will have what connectors are included. Pretty much all newer power supplies over 500 watts, have at least one 6+2 PCIe power connector which is what you need. For example, this one here: http://www.amazon.com/EVG...omputer+power+supplies
