I have the EVGA 750W G3 Supernova PSU. When I turn on the power supply, and connect all the cables, it makes the motherboard or some part in there flicker with a bright light. Is this supposed to happen?

You're going to be asked, so I'll be the first..Exactly what/which light is flickering and what mobo do you have?

    Soooo...
    1. Exactly what/which light is flickering?
    2. Did you use ONLY the cables that came with the 750W G3 as you should have?
    3. It did NOT flicker before you installed the 750W G3?
    4. The only thing that SHOULD flicker is the HDD light when there's drive activity, and that is completely normal

Tbh, not sure what's flickering but it happens when I turn on the power supply and I guess the power connects to something inside which causes it. I only used the cables that came with the PSU, and did not flicker at all till power came through. I'm not sure where the HDD light is, but even if I have to computer turned off and my drives aren't running, I see the flicker once power flows from PSU to motherboard.

Yeah, looks normal from what i looked up, you have RGB all over the mobo and the DIMM slots are all lit up too. Is it not running correctly or some type of user experience problem?

Everything seems to be running fine but the white light scares me as if it's some kind of spark and I'm not trying to fry any of the parts.

Sounds like a Standby Power LED that means the mobo is getting +5V Standby voltage and is ready for operation, but that's usually a steady light and not blinking or flickering..The mobo manual is less-than-informative about the onboard LEDs.

More important question: Why are you continually turning the power switch on PSU off? There is no need to do this at all. When you power the system down there is no point at all in also switching the power supply to the "off" position.

You have a point. I do not continually do this but I did it because I saw a flicker of white light the first time and so I had to further test this theory since I had just built the pc.

Thanks for the help, Bob. I hope it's just an LED light of some sort due to the fact my computer seems to be working fine for the time being.
