Use this and select BBCode full link after you upload picture . Copy and paste it in .....easy peasy https://imgbb.com/BTW, why aren't you overclocking the RAM? Also , 2 sticks are far easier to OC than 4 so yours should be easy .

Yeah overclocking the RAM can give good results if you have the right silicon. Anyhow my results are why I am not a fan of Userbenchmark as it gives false pretense: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/30813340 By all accounts I actually have on paper a system that is only slightly slower in gaming in general then _2100_'s system but this benchmark makes it look like the 9700K outclasses the 3600 in single thread by a mile... it does not. By most accounts I should be on par here but no my processor has AMD badge on it as opposed to the holy great thy be name intel so sayith userbenchmark and their nonsense weighing system, I mean yes there are a few games that favor intel but userbenchmark is not representative of that nor is it representive AMD's value per dollar. It really is just sick and sad really, I know damned well how good the 3600 is based on better more qualified benchmarks who dont have a bias towards team blue. Really the only reason why userbenchmark did this is probably that sweet intel paycheck, them and tomshardware. Again I am not saying this as I am pro team red, but its awfully shady that userbenchmark came out with their new weight system soon after zen2 came out and AMD embarrassed intel so badly by offering great gaming processors for the price.

I was using that link, had seen an earlier post of yours where you included it. I had misunderstood the steps and was placing the url in the "insert picture" box. This morning I realized my mistake and the copy/paste simply needs to be placed in the post itself. Why have I not overclocked RAM? First, I am quite new to all of this, this rig being my first foray into the DIY space and OC. Combined with an increase in work for the past few months, a lot of people were let go and my work load increased significantly, I have not had the time to learn about the process. OCing RAM is on my to-do list, but I need to read/watch/learn more before I am comfortable going forward. Had I been better informed when I parted out the system last fall I probably would have had gone for a 2x16 kit.

Only thing letting me down now is the evo. I changed to a 2 Tb but it's slower than 2 x 1 in raid 0. When my other Apex gets here , sort that out with some good ole raid 0.

I apologize RAM is so important to every benchmark you run . Without good RAM speed/timings you are fighting a losing battle. I am no expert at OC RAM but there are plenty here that are . Just make a post and ask for advice , it's that easy . The guys won't bite your head off and they will help ....if you want it. Take care and enjoy. BTW ....All I use are 2 x 8Gb sticks ( 4 kits ) ....much easier to OC . You don't need 16 Gb sticks or 32Gb of RAM ...unless you are using that video editing CPU ....Ryzen.

No apologies necessary. I'm enjoying this whole learning process and am taking my time going through these threads and occasionally popping in. This one introduced me to a new benchmark and figured I would post since I ran it. My first forum post was a noob question in these OC threads and the responses were great, I've no worries about these folks biting my head off. Thanks for your replies.

Here is an example . My Ram is 4266 but when I run it at XMP it gave a bad score . It takes time but I fiddled with the figures and dropped my speed and tightened timings as well as bumping up the voltage to get 100% . Also fiddled with one or two other values but if you just concentrate on primary timings, speed and voltage ....that will give you heaps of increase Initial values G skill 4266 CL19-19-19-39 @ 1.4v. New values .......... 4200 CL14-13-13-28 @ 1.95v. I should add , that voltage is high and not to be used 24/7 , just bench marking now and again

One thing I forget to tell you . If you want to OC your RAM, you need to set MEM to 3000. Open up MSCONFIG.......BOOT.......ADVANCED OPTIONS......CHECK MAX MEMORY and change it to 3000.....restart.....windows can manage fine on that . You'll have more joy OC your RAM then . You'll have to reset it back to 16000 if you want to play games etc. Though by unchecking the box and re starting. Get back and let us know how you get on .

Well what path are you going hallowen? I mean you have a pretty enthusiast grade processor in that machine of yours so there really isnt much to benefit you by either team red or team blue. I mean for a core count/ price to performance upgrade the Ryzen 9 3900X is a good option if you go AMD For Intel.... eh its really a tough sell with the Intel Core i9-10900K as I have seen it price hiked like crazy with no reason or have it not be available. Could go Cascade lake but.... ehh
