Yep.  5 speed C2 Turbo.  I had to replace the stock sport seats with some Recaros in the same leather to fit my 6'2" in under the sunroof.  Other than a sound upgrade (ADS, mostly) it's just the way it rolled out of the factory.

I put so few miles on  it each year it seems like it's going to waste with me.  OTOH, if I ever sold it, what in the world would I get to replace it.

you wouldn't sell it, you would be a moron if you did. don't ever buy anything after the 993. they were that last good Porsche they went to the mass produced water cooled junk (aka boxter, 996, 997 and cayman)

If I could have one just one car in the world it would be the 3.3L late 70's 930 turbo.

2nd most awesome car is 914 VW/Porsche.

These cars in the vids below are pure sex.

Pure awesomeness thanks to Jake Raby's VW type 4 engine technology.

Re:Post a picture of your car. 2011/10/24 15:58:42 (permalink)

heres how it usually looks. The gauges are a double set of the aeroforce interceptor. It plugs in through the OBD2 port and reads me off whatever I need. Its currently reading, 1-DI fuel pressure 2- Air/Fuel ratio (wideband) 3- Boost 4- Knock Retard. These are all pretty escencial to monitor with this platform.

The Accessport in the other picture is a Tuning device so its only plugged in when im flashing a new map or datalogging (I can even plug the laptop straight in and realtime edit)

The HU is a pioneer avhp4200. Works great and has a 7 inch screen :)
Theres a pretty big system in the trunk but its a work in progress so no pics as of yet. (hits 146 on termlab mic with 2 12's though)

Edit- just cause...

who need mufflers? 3 inch TBE with a Highflow cat and a ultra quiet resonator installed :)

That neon is probably an SRT swap running the same 2.4T engine out of the SRT.

$525, check mazdaspeedforums.org for good deals on used. pm "JP@edgeautosport.com" at that forum for details about getting a new AP for $535 BNIB.

I recommend getting some fuel pump internals in too.

@tweaked- yeah I would normally agree, but a 17.1 run sounds more like a stock neon. The truck on the otherhand ran a 13.9 (not to bad for all that) Though I suppose he could of just had a horrid run. *shrugs*

It's still ouch expensive at that price, but I now I need to get one. I'm interested in reducing weight atm for autocross so a set of these are on my list.

Did you start noticing the need for fuel pump upgrades pretty much when you started doing stuff to it? (Mine feels like it needs it.)

Best thing to do is get a AP first and log.
If you drop below 1600psi @ WOT then you need internals. Do yourself a favor and get the AP instead of the wheels. Your performance gain will be far better not to mention the better gas mileage with added power will make it pay for itself after a month or so.

Heres my mod list and a little explanation.
CP-E Nano Intake - Obviously.
CP-E RMM 60D - Get one of these ASAP. gets rid of drivetrain lash and wheelhop/ torquesteer.
Cobb AP - Tuning solution. Better mileage and power.
Sure Shortcut - Short throw plate. Get one if you want to shorten throws without shortening height.
20% tint - Obvious.
Blox 490g shift knob - Heavy shift knob helps to get through gears smoothly.
Forge V1 BPV - My stock Bypass valve started leaking once I pushed past 18 psi. This ones cheap and sounds great.
KDM V2 FP Internals - So you can hold fuel pressure at WOT.
10k DDM HID's (lows) - Helps to see at night
30k HID's (fogs) - Looks cool :)
Ultimate Racing Cat back exhaust (no mufflers) - Not needed for performance gains until Big turbo. Otherwise about 1-2 hp gain.
Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator - Quiet down my exhaust since no mufflers.
CP-E TMIC - dropped BATS from 130F down to 90F. Great!
Gutted 2nd cat - Easier then a testpipe. Does the same, needed to get into stage2 tuning.
Theres some more, but nothing important.

Yeah i'm not takin a pic of my car and posting it here..... But heres a stock photo of it!

1995 Chev. Beretta. one below is the right year and color, but mine needs body work. Some day i'll get it done too. Dunno why but I like my beretta. It's a zippy lil V6 :P

I would like to get mine looking more like this (the z26 body style) Good thing is the motor in mine is from a 96 Beretta and only has 80k miles on it. Not bad for an old car.
