rfk-13dr What are acceptable depreciations on individual rails? I have a ToughPower W0133 1200watt that is about 4 years old. I was planning on swapping it out with a new 675 toughpower and using it in my new gtx580 sli/2600k build. Checking the voltages revealed that the 3.3 volt bus is @ 3.18 volts and drops down to 3.14 under load, 12v/5v rails are fine. Opened it up as it was past warranty but did not find any cracked solder joints etc. The new toughpower 675 I installed in my old system ([link=mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org]email@example.com[/link], 8800gt sli) stays @3.24 v. I spent alot of money on new parts and really do not want to chance fate, but these power supplies are not cheap. Is this normal wear? Can I expect to get 4 years out of a $350 power supply? I opened my eyes and found the link above in thread http://forums.evga.comarchive/tm.asp?m=100633965. Would you consider 3.14 safe, especially if I plan on overclocking to 5ghz?
av2006I would like to contribute another good resource on finding a good PSU for PC. You can include this article in the list if you want
