Can you update how you do with 1k bios? Cause I seem to lose 100-150 points at same clocks.

I believe the stock clocks of 1k bios is lower than stock bios, even the ln2 stock bios



Right, just saying that if I match and lock same clocks on 1K bios I score lower, perhaps the memory timings are different causing lower score.
 
I feel like I would like the LN2 bios with 700 watt limit.

Just gave a small boost to the chip level voltages, let's you boost a little higher, though I just turned them off again and now waiting for Vince to respond to my email 😆

So here's the difference between running "stock" and using "tools" for those HOF scores.
 
Here's PR after 2hrs of Cyberpunk and Mass Effect (10 min cool down), while using my daily driver settings: Default voltages, no Classy tool, Afterburner curve at 2205 @ 1.068v, memory +1200.

Compared to this run, which required:
Ambient temp in the room lowered to 15c, Classified tool set to 1.16875 NVVD, Afterburner set to 2310 @ 1.1v, mem +1750, right after system start up so before anything warmed up

Just wanted to put the performance gains in perspective.
 
It's fun pushing the cards once in a while, and with the KP you're sort of "supposed to" as it's an enthusiast card. Getting high scores is tricky, but you learn about the card and it helps find the "sweet spot" for every day use. 
 
Side note: I'm actually impressed by this waterblock.

How did you set the curve exactly?
Want to try and replicate your score on my card

so I just put back the ln2 stock bios and will wait for vince to fix the HC bios issue lol
was not able to go above 2190/2170 mhz at all, idk what I was doing wrong had voltages pegged higher then Dabadger from when he was doing the tool to get 15.7k or so, and yet not able to touch 2.2 without crashing benchmark, even with memory lowered to 1200-1400 from my normal 1500

I’m following along with your progress! Is there a different version ln2 520w bios for the hydro copper? I have the hybrid kp and installed the copper block.

Something funky has been going on w/ the bios' for these cards from day one IMHO.

It's because the firmware is different would be my guess.  It's a different SKU, slightly different firmware, so the BIOSes for the 3998, while they will work with the 3999 (most likely), you'll have to manually do it with NVFlash because the provided tools to update the ReBar BIOS or any of that probably won't work for the 3999 that are designed for the 3998.
 
Kinda silly, but it is what it is - same thing happened with the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid vs regular cards - not sure if it's the same way for FTW3 vs Hybrid vs HC, since the HC regular 3090s/3080s are rare a-f right now.

I had the 1000w xoc bios for the 3998 flashed if I wasn't clear enough
It seems to be flaky with the various controls and sensor readouts plus the mismatched firmware/bios messing with x1 means I will be patient 😆

I was referring to all bios' for all SKU's of the KPE. Something been funky since day one for me, for example the LN2 bios hits PL at 430W for me so I'm basically forced to use XOC for daily driving.

If you dig around the original XOC bios isn't hard to find. I don't think anybody has the BAR-enabled XOC bios though, if they do... nobody has leaked it.

In my little bit of testing I scored lower with rebar enabled bios ( even with rebar off in MB bios) So I went back to regular, but that was NOT with RE-Bar XOC though.

Just checked and it's called 3090kp_x_bar.rom.....
Can't tell since for my 3999 it doesn't work well with X1 Precision, as the bios is for 3998 😆🤣
How do I check for rebar outside of x1?
Might be worth flashing the bios over my XOC switch position, since it's quite useless to me, and probably meant for this exact purpose, which would mean the 480w limit bios on it is just a place holder for warranty purposes 😉
Edit-i have the HC 3999 not the 3998 fyi

If you have rebar bios on card, and enabled in MoBo Bios , GPUZ will show if it's enabled or not.
