I talked to Andrew on their online chat. I want to start by saying he did is job well, was polite. That said I basically was told if it doesn't ship today it will ship on the 27th. Which is total BS. They had enough time to send out review samples and gift cards to Youtube influencers, have sent them to retailers, and I am sure all employees who wanted one have one. Yet, us paying plebs can not get a straight answer. I get it's busy, but if you had 30 days to prepare, and by prepare I mean you took money for all orders, you need to be upfront with your buyers. It would be one thing if you did not take money till ready to ship. Yes, I get the business sense behind why they charge you ahead of time, but that should also ensure they are prepared, orderly, and ready to get it done. Instead, after reading Glass Door reviews from past and present employees it seems the place is ran less than professionally. I regret not reading those reviews prior. I would not have ordered an EVGA card period much less direct. I will just say if my card does not ship today I will cancel my order. It's the only recourse any of us have. As a consumer all I ask for is updates. REAL updates and not cryptics updates. I did get a email saying order is approved? It should have been approved a month ago since I paid in full at that time.(I ordered it within an hour of pre-order or less) These companies do this stuff on purpose and then hope you are to lazy to cancel. Enough is enough. Just be straight with us. 
 
P.S. You would have to call us at 888-881-3842 to cancel the pre order...

I kid you not. My order just went from an "order pending a shipment" back to pre-order 4-6 weeks yet again. LOL
Somebody must have read my response here and got their FEE FEES hurt lol....yeah...my mind is made up. Good luck to everybody else. I hope you get your cards in a satisfactory time. I just do not see it happening.

My FTW3 Ultra pre-order still shows shipping as 3-4 weeks.

Mine went from preorder to open order awaiting shipping back to preorder. What’s the point of a preorder to get it when released to have no communication of what’s going on and company default to cancel a preorder? I ordered mine the hour went up and funny that I can walk into my local Best Buy a grab it off the shelf

I just called EVGA and spoke to Jacob. Let me preface this by saying I was certainly a frustrated when calling but I never cursed or talked down to Jacob. I asked pertinent questions and I got told in not so many words "I know nothing" and if I wanted to cancel my card upper management would have to get involved because it has been batched to ship. Yet, he can't confirm a ship date, nor explain how my order went from pending shipping to "Pre-Order" with 4-6 to weeks shipping yet again. I ordered within an hour or less of online pre-orders going on line. They have had my money for a month and give me NOT a single ANSWER. I am not happy. I will never buy another EVGA product again. I bought quite few over the past 10 years, roughly 5k worth for myself, and I have no idea how much I bought to help build rigs for others. I see very little professionalism out of this company. They are flying blind apparently. So now, I will have to fight it to get my money back. I will never pre-order again. First time, last time. I have zero choice but to escalate with my credit card company. All I wanted was a firm answer. Instead I got told adlib "We have you money sucker and if you want it back it will take a lot of work so just give up and wait on us"....Yeah, no thanks.

Luckily, most banks allow a 60 day window to file a chargeback.  That said, a preorder is a preorder.  I think we all agree that sooner is better on getting cards and EVGA could do a far better job at communications. Send me a PM if you manage to cancel your order - maybe I'll be able to order the card that was earmarked for you!
 
As it is we have to chase down answers on forums, the twit(ter) and other random places. They should just put some info in a banner on top of the product page for GA status, and update order details for those with preorders. 
 
You're right that evga has gone downhill in the past few years.   Not only is communications not what it was, but support has degrade.  Heck, even the stated warranty was severely limited.  Evga is MOSTLY just living on their past reputation in my opinion.
 
That said, I can't really think of any vendor that is significantly better.  It's not like MSI or Zotac is beating EVGA.  I think EVGA must have decided that "average" is good enough, and the excellence they used to exhibit was therefore UN-necessary.
 
 
Personally, I'm disappointed about nVidia's delay on the GA release date.  By the time I heard the cards were up for preorder they were already sold out.   This one is not EVGA's fault, although we shouldn't have to go to Tom's Hardware to find out.  We should be able to go to the nVidia product page and see a notification or at least see an official post on the forum or some random community site like the twit.

Also an update on the preorders, all preorders (except for the FTW3 cards which will be available soon) will be shipping today in US.
