I ended up grabbing a 680 FTW 4GB Tuesday. It arrives tomorrow. I'm moving up from a HIS 7970 IceQ Hope to have some benchmarks later tomorrow night.

larsoncc Legit. ASuS SLI connector spotted. For shame! LOL! J/K Nice system. I just got my two 670 FTW+ 4gb. Sli setup with these is pretty beastly. Not a lot of great OC results. But hardly any need with a base clock of 1006 that easily boosts to 1084. I have been able to do a +85 on the base, which seems to boost miraculously to 1200. Max fps in Metro 2033 benchmark 174 with it averaging 30fps at a 1600p resolution. I'm pretty happy. My 30in monitor at max res was giving my 580 Classified a run for it's money even at 1000Mhz.

Wish I had something positive to say, but alas this card is being sent in for the second RMA already in a month and a half since owning it lol.

Great thread! Still waiting for feedback on the new non reference air cooled EVGA models that came out a few days ago. Newegg is now showing 3 models for sale on their site, one of the 660s (there are 4), the 660 Ti, and the 680. Word is these coolers drop temps 20% from the reference cooling solution. Someone on TPU has already reported 60c on BF3 with the 680 version. Unfortunately there's no non reference air cooled 670s yet, but two of the 660 model non reference air cooled cards have 3GB VRAM. So yeah, rock on EVGA owners. EVGA is still alive and well!

LeetMiniWheat I haven't even gotten my 690 yet and I can say IT ROCKS! (...except for the 400MHz pixel clock limitation over SLi) that pixel clock limitation for the latest drivers AND SLi have now been crushed by toastyX's mighty hand! My 680 classified destroys all who dare oppose me!! prepare for the dictator of all time as i go for Classified SLi and subzero chiller cooling!! death to my enemies!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I love my 680 does 1300 core with no voltage tweaks, have had it a week or two after launch, no issues at all, runs cool, about to put it on a hybrid liquid cooler self contained unit. Runs everything at 1920x1200 with no issues. Does not suck a lot of power, just an all around great video card. If people keep breaking their cards they have bad luck, something else in their computer is faulty & is killing the video card, or they are letting them run way too hot for too long 70c max at load or below is a good rule to go by. Its a mess but not done yet with this case mod got tired of my pc running on my desk on a box

i LOVE these 670s!!! 2 of my friends got 680's after they saw my 670s, and they love it. 1 of my friend got a 660ti, and he couldn't be happier. zero issues whatsoever. had a 670 FTW 2gb, one hell of a card now have 2x 670 FTW+ 4gb in SLI, and BOY do they rock! overclocks to 1230+ on both card, 3500 mem on both. destroys any game thrown at it!

I think it would be more effective if you guys mention the load temps you're getting and what drivers you're using if you want to oppose the worries with reassurance.

I say at the current state of the 670's lifespan and the updated bios... you can buy with confidence. I was getting some suttering in BF3 until I rolled back my nv drivers to 306.02. Just tested the stuttering is all but vanished completely. my load temps never creep beyond 72. But I have fan curve profile set for the fans to to 80% at certain times.

Originally I ordered 2x 660ti FTW LE's but shipping and availablity issues arose so I cancelled the order which sucked cause I really wanted those... loweth and beholdeth... I foundeth 2x brand spankin' new 660ti's [non-backplate version] here in New Zealand for dirt cheap from a private seller claiming his desktop gaming days are over so they were settling for a laptop, he got them imported but have been sitting under his desk for the past 2 months gathering cobwebs... price was cheap for the both, how cheap?... dirt cheap, so i'm laughing here [take that you overpriced NZ reseller that tried to sell me one for the price of three pfffttt!!!]... still had the plastic wrapping on the boxes... oooOOOOooo... still sealed... aaAAAHHHHhhh... opened the boxes to reveal their glory... TADAAA!!!... some mighty sexy looking cards in person I must add and a very nice darkish low profile look to them... I'm now waiting for the backplates which are being shipped as I rant which will add to the almost ninja-ish look they have... so my 660ti's rock because I now own some WOOHOO!!!... My upgrade stuffs to be installed... EVGA Z77 Mobo 2x EVGA 660ti's 4x Deskstar 4TB HDD's Corsair Obsidian 800D upgrade kit Corsair Dominators CMT16GX3M4X2133C9 Plus more doodles... End of rant...
