I swear this is a true story:
 
I have been a financial  planner and a life insurance agent for almost 30 years.  Many years ago, when I was just starting out,  I met with the mother and sister of  my future ex-wife's secretary.  (did you follow that OK?)  It seems the sister wanted to buy some life insurance.  My wife's secretary had warned me that her sister was a dwarf so I was not surprised when I first met her. 
 
I started going through all of the standard  health questions  for the policy with the sister while the mother sat there listening.  When I asked "Do you smoke?"  The mother answered for her in a totally straight and serious tone:" Yes, she does and I told her it would stunt her growth!"
 
I almost peed in my pants trying to keep a straight face.
