Yep there will always be an excuse for why we don't do something we're unfamiliar with. At the end of the day you just gotta eventually do it if it's something you want!
No doubt. And there really hasn’t been a better time to get in to xoc than right now. Team USA coming off our first country cup win in a long time, sponsors noticing people here and multiple xoc bench meets being held on both coasts! Gotta have fun or it's not worth it! On a side note is glitching porte royal a thing? I was just just following my formula and was able to reproduce my accomplishment from earlier today, but only scored a 16777 this time, totally glitched out, the run just prior was about 16100. I just do not remember this happening with any prior series card, it's like Talon951 said it's usually about the same or worse...

What voltage you running? I was consistantly averaging well over 700w during Port royal on my best runs. Oled between 680-740 with 700-715 being probably the mean. Timespy and especially timespy extreme pull even more. Timespy was 680-760w and TSE had peaks just over 800w. Temps were in mid to upper 50s with peaks right in the 60-61C range on TSE.

So I had a bit of time before work, and set out to see how +100 increments on memory worked out.
I had to hit +400 to see any gain, small gains from +400 to +700 then almost nothing until +1200
and a little at +1300 and even +1400. then I hit like +1425 - +1450 and hit. (but with a little texture glithing)

for me i think superposition 8K pulled the most consistently, and yeah TSE. can't wait to rereun some of this stuff on HEDT + LN2

Yeah I maxed out at 1.25V. Was putting me in the upper 50s on most benches with TSE and Superposition kissing upwards of 61-62C at certain spots towards the end of the heavier benches. The chips really start to drop clocks above that temp so no point going higher.

nice nice, i'm not that brave on the stock cooler! 3090 on LN2 liked 1.45-1.48 before it stopped scaling with my mount (which admittedly was imperfect) and i noticed Vince and the gang are including the OC guide insert with the 3090 Ti KPE which has suggested voltages for aio, water, LN2. you love to see it
wish we had these cards back in may when temps weren't so brutal lol
my second card seems to do 2235/1469 right at the edge for these voltages. and yeah i'm hitting low 60s in the 4K/8K benches as well. Adding 3 fans to the stock aio (and 2 backplate + 1 upward blowing top fan) helps some but man, we had a hard enough time keeping the upstairs temp below 74 at peak sun yesterday. oof

Yea nobody will probably ever notice other than us. I've run across runs before that didn't seem to make sense based on the clocks I saw. I assumed at the time it just had something to do with how they manipulated the VF curve, although they seemed a little too far off for that.
You can always delete it yourself. Lol.

Hey everyone. I'm a little late here to the forum. I scored a good deal on a 3090 kingpin hybrid on the EVGA website as a b stock unit. I replaced my 3080 ftw3 I placed the hybrid block on. Currently I have the card on the ln2 bias but haven't tinkered with the voltage or anything yet, just upped the power Target and have gotten a stable clock of +130@ 2100 mhz core and 21gbs memory at +750. Seems to be the sweet spot on this card, anything over doesn't want to stay stable in bench or gaming, the watts pull to about 460 I've seen and temps only around 58 core and 75 memory. Not sure if upping my power supply to a 100 watt plus would help , I have a Corsair 850 platinum. Seems to be a pretty solid card overall at the moment 🤞

You are pretty normal, if you're card is not OC protection rebooting, your PSU sounds like it's handling the load just fine. A 1k PSU would give you piece of mind but won't help the gpu get faster. Loaded with an OC your temperature is good for this cooler.

Does anyone know if the 3090 ti’s Sli connectors were standardized this time around ? Will any other evga 3090 ti or any other vendor’s sli connectors line up?
To the 3090 ti kingpin I mean.
Kingpin cards are taller than most other 3090 ti’s, so you’d have to run a riser cable setup to get them aligned properly if you wanted to run a kpe with a ftw3 for example.

This is most likely the scenario. They had to hold back some of the run for E-1 orders.... that 3-4 week lead time is just brutal on top of some of the pricing and changes since first launched. Plus.... You know.... 4000 series. :)
