What 3090 KPE failures? I thought all the EVGA 3090 failures were with the FTW3-based cards?

exactly . I bet 99% of RMA KPE was poor overclocking , lol

It seems like EVGA was doing a fire sale on the lower end PS earlier.  I think they have too many PS SKUs just like Corsair.

Seems they are unloading pretty much everything. On one hand I can understand 3000 series excess stock being cleared if the 4000 series is due soon, and perhaps the PSUs if the new 12-pin PCIe plug PSUs are coming soon too, but add in the end of EVGA Bucks and the end of the associate program and it almost feels like a liquidation sale. Anyway off-topic, sorry.
 

I past on the card today ! Well wait on RTX 4090 T I Kingpin and hope the T I cards our release early in life cycle and not like this Nvidia ! This is not EVGA doing ! I have a Great Rtx3090 Kingpin and 2 1600 watt EVGA  PSU don't need a 3rd. Look for cards stand alone to before sale for not much more then Rtx 3090 Kingpin.

I have a Great Rtx3090 Kingpin and 2 1600 watt EVGA  PSU don't need a 3rd. Look for cards stand alone to before sale for not much more then Rtx 3090 Kingpin.

Don’t buy the 4090 it’s going to be missing over 2000 cores.

May I ask what was the reason it died? Did EVGA provide a reason or do you have an idea as to why?
I thought Kingpins weren't susceptible to the transient power spike issues encountered on other 3090s, or are they?

After hawing and hemming for awhile I went ahead and pulled the trigger on my notification. I'm probably one of the few that can actually use the PSU seeing as I only have a 1000w Seasonic and 850w EVGA and neither has enough PCIe connectors for dual connects.
 
 

I'm in! I guess I'm #2? I passed up on the 3090 Kingpin last year and I regretted it and have been skimming ebay weekly on a good deal for one. I also ordered the DARK Kingpin Z390. I'm going to finish my version of E1 before EVGA as I always open frame caseless with my rigs. I will build my own out of 2020 aluminum extrusions. LOL
 
If the 4090 comes out and its as fast as they say it is....we've been overhyped before, I will just buy that one as well.  
 
I really hope someone comes out with a water block for this one though. I hope they don't skip the Hydrocopper kit for the 3090ti Kingpin when th4 4090 comes out.

How do you look up where you were on the list and "score". I've probably bought over 10 PSU's and 10 GPUS the from the EVGA store and B-stock the past 12 months. Maybe that bumped up my score? I even had a XR1 original, Z20, X20, a few CLC 280 and 360's. I build a lot of gaming PC's for sale in my area and mining rigs. I just love building rigs in general.

As long as you registered the products and uploaded invoices from any products that didn't come directly from EVGA then that would have helped your score. Also any EVGA bucks you've earned would be added to your score x2 and blue ribbons I think are x5?

Just to add to tresnugget, as per EVGA Queue 3.0 rules, "Points from registered products count for three years from the date of purchase."  So any purchases beyond three years will not count to your EVGA Score.  You can see all the rules here: https://www.evga.com/support/queue3/

I never had a new world problem with my kingpins.  however... 
 
I had not one, not two, but three kingpins die on me.  Two were power failures and one was a hybrid pump failure, all on stock bios.  The two power failures failed at boot with a strong burnt odor and a OLED "low voltage" warning.  there are many people that had the same thing happen but there is a lot of reluctance to talk about because of concerns on RMA denial, competency in the process to convert to water cooling, wishy washy product availability etc.   I even have videos of it happening that I can dig up and thats just with my rigs

I got my notification yesterday passed due to lack of water block support will hold on to my 2 3090 kingpins till probably 4090ti release
