Motherboard: z690 Classified CPU: Celeron G6900 (simply for updating to beta bios for 13th Gen) GPU: EVGA 3080 12GB FTW3 Cooler: NH D15 PSU: Seasonic 850 PX Ram: DDR5 Gskill 6500 2 x 970 Evo Case: H710
So I put everything together. Going from a 9900k to 13th gen.
No display on my monitor so can't get access to the bios. Tried a 1660 super, swapping ram sticks around and using only one. Tried Bios CMOS. Not a sausage! Had a look at previous problems and tried a whole bunch of things.
So lights and fans spin up. Cpu fan running. Board cycles through its codes and settles on 28 which I'm assuming is cpu temp as I read it does switch to this. No beeps or other codes.
Oh and monitor is plugged into GPU, Tried hdmi and DP.
Any ideas?

#1 You don't need a G6900 to update the bios for 13th gen. USB to SPI for BIOS Flash can be used to do so. Look that up in your motherboard manual, or use the online manual... https://www.evga.com/Support/manuals/files/121-AL-E698.pdf #2 Does this issue occur on both pci-e slots? #3 Have you tried another monitor?

So with your ram completely removed from the system does the post code settle on 55?

No it cycles through 4 codes. I would have to check which ones. Fans spin and die then repeat

Remove the cpu, and update the bios using the USB to SPI for BIOS Flash method described in the manual. Check your cpu socket for bent pins while you're at it. Do you have another set of memory you can also test with?

I have the same issue as OP, and I removed the CPU and did the update to the newest BIOS, I am using a 12900K. I still get no display. I am using a RTX 4090 FE. I only get display on the "DEFAULT" 1.03 BIOS that mobo shipped with. If I use the included USB stick and flask back to 1.03, I get display, but ONLY the first time. All ram is detected, CPU temps are fine, I can even run the OC robot thing at 5.1 Ghz. Once I reboot, no display from then on, even if I update BIOS, no display at all. I spent 4 hours trouble shooting this, then I put everything back only my MSI z690 Tomahawk, and PC boots up to windows in less than 10 seconds, no issues... REALLY CONFUSED, about to RMA this board.

Have you tried the 1.15 bios? It's the latest non beta one for the 12th gen.

I did not try 1.15. But, what gets me is that even with 1.03, I only see the boot screen on FIRST BOOT, or CMOS RESET. After I reboot again, no display.

Try the 1.15. Certainly weird that you only get the boot screen once. Joys of technology

I tried 1.15, no luck, I can get into BIOS first boot, even if I select "load defaults" after reboot, it goes to black screen, and I can see its showing CPU temps in the Dr. Debug LED, cause the number is in in high 20's and low 30's. But then I hit safe boot and it goes back to bios "OVERCLOCK FAILED" but I didn't apply any overclocks or change any settings. I then even tried putting CPU at 4.8Ghz all core and same behavior, then I tried to put DDR5 at 4800Mhz, same behavior. I am doing a cross-ship RMA now :(

If you can get into the BIOS at all, can you make sure you turn off fast-boot? It is (FRUSTRATINGLY) on by default.

I could not access the BIOs on my AMD motherboard with an RTX 3090ti FTW3 Ultra nor with my new RTX 4090. The only solution available was to use an HDMI cable instead of DP.
