People still shop at NewEgg? Ever since they started letting 3rd party vendors on their site it has been a steady downhill experience for me. At this point I only purchase from them if their are no other options. 

This is why I stopped shopping at newegg.

+1. Used to buy a lot of my gear through Newegg, I have not done so for several years. I still get their daily emails and much of the time it seems their 'specials' are just items jacked up in price and then discounted back down to where it was previously to give the appearance of being a deal. Their 3rd party items should definitely be avoided. Their fall from grace does seem to coincide with the Chinese takeover, although I was unaware of that happening until more recently. I think it's time I unsubscribe from their daily spam. ..*moments later*.. done.

I buy more from Amazon and MicroCenter now.  When X299 was first released...they were the only ones that carried the EVGA X299 FTW K so I purchased it from them.  Last purchase I made from Newegg.

Yup, Amazon is my primary now, but I still avoid 3rd party sellers on Amazon as much as possible. Also I have an Amazon Prime card so I get 5% cash back on everything I buy through Amazon. I just checked Newegg - my last purchase there was early 2017 for some 'be quiet! SilentWings3' fans.

My closest Microcenter is almost a 2 hour drive but I still think I like it better than ordering online these days. Especially since you can checkout online & just have it ready for pickup.

This would be my worst nightmare. Getting your hands on something so hard-to-get and having it be damaged. I know this is old and has been possibly remedied but its just a bad situation.

I have bought several ex mining cards for the collection. All survived the mail fine, they were all draped well to make it safe.
