I couldn't live in or near a desert.  Fairbanks, AK is where I'm headed whenever I retire in about 40 years

Fairbanks is almost a desert. Haven't you been watching Ice Road Truckers? I once traveled the entire haul road in 2007. I took this photo north of Fairbanks.

Does any of the settings in my nVidia control panel have any bearing on GPU folding? Got both up an running and I realize from what I was told GPU ones are smaller and go faster. Just want to make sure with stock settings on my 980x and 480 I have everything tweaked to bring in best productivity for Team EVGA. Temps have been very solid with fans turned up to 30 - 60 percent. Always helps it's 55 degree out as well :)

Again I can't say it enough thank you so much for your fast and friendly responses. Knowing I can get help makes this so much more of a learning experience for me. Couldn't get my Intel XTU to load and OC so I guess i'll just stick with stock clocks sigh.

There´s only one thing you should change, but it´s not a must either.
The power settings( not sure how it´s called). Change it from adaptive to max performance.

Just to verify, you're not OC, right? Perhaps you should not run the 480 until this is figured out.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the client.

What's your CMOS settings?

I've lived there

I guess it isn't the fact that I don't like deserts its just the hot climate

Sometimes I get errors when I'm away for a couple days and start it cold. My system seems to work more efficiently after a day or two of folding. I guess that's better than the opposite being true.

You also want to click on member home (above) ^, and select edit my profile, In the midle, below your zip code, enter your folding name, so folding points will show up under your name to the left,
<---below ribbons.

Just started folding as well and wanted to add it to my profile but cant seem to find the spot to enter. there is no zip code in the profile just a city location. does the box say some thing like (folding name) cause either I am blind or it aint there. I looked in all the tabs
