Finally got to building a new system, last one was in 2016 so it was time, took a bit longer due a heart attack break ( getting old sucks and you need to eat right ) but finally got it done to my liking. Still Need to tweaks the CPU clocks but i have hit 5.7 stable, temps stay under 90 thanks to thermal grizzly lapping tool and contact frame. it so much faster than my Z270 classy is.

Yep, alphacool chromed brass hard lines, not the easiest to work with but they just so nice, plus they help cooling a little also since they are brass.
    Part are:
    EVGA Z690 classified
Intel 13700k ( lapped and using the thermal grizzly contact frame, this alone drop my max temps 15c in cinabench )
    32GB gskill Z5 DDR5 6000
    RTX 3070 ( alphacool water block )
    Lianli 011DXL
    2 EK 360 Rads
    10 lian LI uni fans
    Aquacomputer Quadro controller
    2 nvme drives
4 mechanical HDD ( in hotswap bays )
Corsair HX1000i ( new model ) with Corsair sleeved cables

Build wise is was pretty straight forward, had to mod the HDD cages ( more like ovens ) since my 4TB HDD's were not happy at almost 50c idle, cut a section out of them on the side and front and made ABS plate to mount 2 80mm fans on the back to cool them down, now they sit at 30c. Everything else just took some time to layout. End up laid up for a bit when I had heart attack right before Christmas so everything sat for awhile until I felt good enough to get back at it.
The only big issue I ran into was with the MB bios, EVGA had all kinds of bugs, finally it seems the latest one has got everything stable.

It is tedious to work with since you get one shot at a bend, but I think it just looks so much nicer, plus the brass tubing adds some extra cooling. Unfortunately there is only a few brands that have it, I use alphacool and their fittings, they fit very snug so leaking is no worries, plus you don't have to worry about chemical reactions since they are brass.

This is very nice. The pipe on the right hits my OCD pretty hard though. A spacer could maybe even it out quite nicely.

which one? the one from the res to cpu? or the one from the gpu to back rad? there are some bend limits with metal tubing lol. the one from the gpu does bother me and i may bend a new one, but it's kinda hard to find and takes awhile to get it.
