:-D Yeah definitely.  And it's not the worst I've dealt with, I messed up my back when I was young - but this is way down in the lower lower back so it's one of those "everything you do makes it hurt" areas of pain.  Trying to avoid taking anything stiffer than Ibuprofen, but it looks like I may not have a choice if I want to get some decent rest at least.
Tried doing the old chiropractor "lay flat & twist your knees to each side all the way" pop one's back thing, didn't work unfortunately.  Oddly, that motion doesn't cause severe pain spikes like almost everything else does - I think that's a good thing? lol

You might try visiting a Chiropractor then? Nearly cured me of my pack pain a couple of years ago after I messed it up bad lifting something way heavier than I should have.  Hurt like heck when he popped the vertebra back in place, but I have been so much better since.  I wish I had done it a lot sooner.

Plan to once the weather clears up, there's one that's local that only charges like $40/session that I've went to before after a car wreck for whiplash after effects.

That's good, back pain isn't fun.  Hopefully the weather will clear up this weekend, at least in my parts it's supposed too.  Gotta love the midwest; 3 degrees F at the beginning of the week, 33 degrees F by the end.

Funny I just threw my backout a couple weeks ago, have suffered from lower back pain since I was a teenager (31 now). The best recommendations I can give are ones you're not going to like but they work. Avoid sitting as much as possible and this cause your glutes to essentially go dormant and your hip flexors to pull on your lower back making things worse. Saying is best for these types of injuries. A heating pad can work wonders for when you do need to sit. Sleeping on the floor is another miracle and it provides support for your entire spine, this single handedly made the biggest difference for me personally. Try to do it a little at a time an hour or so and work your way up to a full night or once the pain subsides. Lastly there's plenty of great stretches for hamstrings, glutes, lower back that if done on a regular basis can help avoid injuries in the long term. It's tough to get in the habit of doing them but once you do it's a game changer. And if the pain is bad enough don't ignore it because it may be something serious such as a herniated disc which no amount stretching is going to "fix". Don't do what I did and wait 10yrs before reaching out for help from a physical therapist and can pin point the cause and the best fix with surgery as a last resort.

So is it how it's going to be from now on from nVidia and AMD, selling most of the cards to the bitcoins farmers instead of the general gaming market? Is this seriously the new norm now?

Between that and what little is remaining mostly picked up by scalpers how the hell are we supposed to have a goddamn way to upgrade our PCs from now on??

The state of the world is so messed up and keeps getting worse every year it seems, without any end in sight...

yes look at this rig it eats 10 amd 6700 gpu chips
inca-ep_10-blockchain-server

This is not a garage miner this is a million dollar commercial farm rig.

I have yet to find a nvidia equivalent but pretend there is a 3060ti version of this

This  amd one  earns 66 x 10 = 660 x 12 cents  about 80 a day before power and it
burns only 1500 watts or 36-40 kwatts a day. A commercial guy can get 5 cent power so $2 in power.

this unit earns 78 bucks a day for a farm that is 28,470 usd a year.

I have seen it for 12,000 usd with a  MOQ 5 that would be 50 gpus.

that is 60k investment to make about 140k in a year.

This type of gear is big business and it is sucking up chips

In some respects, you could argue that they are all stuck.  But among the hybrids, the 3080s are the most stuck.

To my knowledge only the Kingpin (at least three units) has dropped today...clearly a straggler drop for the KPE.

I think we're coming out of the CPU shortage.

But are we coming out of the demand shortage? Im worried prices are going to stay insanely inflated for the next few quarters...

Like I said, all AMD can do is fight the supply side of the battle as diligently as possible, and they are highly motivated to do so. They were unable to seize much of Nvidia's pie this launch, but they took a record-breaking chunk of Intel's pie on the CPU side. They're not keen on letting that current lead go. We've got to fight the purchasing side as much as we can on our end. If that means running a little longer on your current CPU, hopefully you can make it work until there's an acceptable price on the newer CPU you need. If folks stop buying from scalpers, they'll no longer have reason to scalp anymore.

I have seen the CPU Supply starting to get easier as well.  Just in time for me to start my build next month.  The only thing holding me back on a full build is the GPU.  I'll just have to keep going with my 1070 FTW2 until I can get my hands on a 3080.  Then I can pass off the old PC to my son.

Does anyone know when one can sign up for a 3060? I know it is being released on 2/25, but I'd like to avoid being 6 hours late to sign up as I was on the 3060TI and still waiting for a card.

I believe Jacob tweeted that the EVGA queue time starts 12:00 EST on February 25th. I'll meet you there!

Dabadger i am checking in here. i got my 3898 3080 hybrid yesterday and installed it with a push-pull setup as the intake. with 2 noctua 3k rpm fans pushing and the stock fans on the rad pulling, my cpu is also AIO with one 2k rpm fan running max, along with my other exhaust fan (1500rpm) running max 24/7, during gaming, with settings maxed i reach MAYBE 47°C on the gpu and 61° max on the cpu, i haven’t adjusted the fan curves of anything via speedfan or precision. I was going to play with that tonight to see just how chilly i can have it running. i would definitely prefer an exhaust for my radiator, but given the space, it’s all i got. everything went together well and huge props to evga for making such a BA card. i’m going to flip the the “OC” switch and work from there tonight. thanks for the knowledge in this thread btw, very helpful. the radiator hose is PERFECT length.

Dude, that sounds AWESOME! Please post some pics for me! :)

I hope that rad is exhaust on front otherwise I would switch it with the CPU rad, that GPU will put out some serious heat
Unless of course that top fan mount is only a single
Edit-Very clean btw :)

top is only a single. while gaming(warzone/cold war/red dead online) i stay around 61°c or less on the cpu temps. gpu is ALWAYS under 50°c. i’m really impressed actually. i would love to get one of those lian li 011 cases though.. maybe soon

Most likely the day before or day of release around 6am PST. The pages don't always load properly or on time, so some people get to the pages faster than others.

If you use the notification system at EVGA EU website, yes. EVGA.com is for the North American and Mexico market

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/02/15 18:45:39 (permalink)
EVGA_JacobF
We have made some changes to the checkout process for EVGA.com 30 Series orders. Now we are using a queue based notification system.

To sign up, use the notification button on the product you would like to be notified for. For everyone who already used the notify button previously, you are already entered. Once product is available (and it is your turn to purchase), you will receive a secure email that will allow you to purchase the product that you received a notification for. Please note that you have 8 hours to place your order, if your order is not complete within 8 hours, the product will be released back into queue system.

Also note that your email address that was used for the notify system MUST MATCH an email that has a registered EVGA account, if an account is not available with that email, you will need to create one before you can purchase.

Also note that this system will be available for US store first and evaluating for other regions.

Thanks
EVGA

sh3perd
If “I don’t want this product anymore” can I remove my "Auto notify" so it can get back into the queue faster if, say, already got one somewhere else.

You can now remove a card from your notification list now.

coonwhiz
If I've already signed up to be notified, do I need to re-sign up?

Nope, if you already signed up to be notified you do not need to sign up again.

If you had an auto notify even before the card was released, it still counts. We are including everyone who ever clicked the auto notify button while it was there.

chillinc
I signed up for an auto notification for a card a while ago, but reading this post I re-submitted a notification request (prior to realizing that my original request saved a place in line). Did that reset my place in line, or is my original place in line intact from when I originally requested a stock notification?

It will go by your earliest entry. Even if you re-enter it will maintain your original entry into the notification system.

pau164
Argh, I only just signed up for the notification! I hope I'm not too far down the queue. Oh well, I'm just glad it's an option.

A few questions, though. Are we supposed to receive any acknowledgement email when we sign up for notification? I did not.
Also, is there an email address we should whitelist to ensure we get the notification email?
Finally, can a notification be sent for multiple cards? I'll buy whichever XC3 3080 is available to me first.

Email will come from

Mkilbride2599
@evga_jacob I have to ask. I work nights, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. So I sleep during the day. What if I'm asleep while my email comes? Is it 5 hours once you click the link or once you get the email? It could be a pain for me if it comes at like 12 PM and I wake up at 6:30 PM.

We are doing a small test right now so due to the time anyone outside of the 8 hour window will allow exception for this test run. Going forward (after 10/6) the emails will be released during normal business hours.

Omwdiinx21
When will more stock be available for this new system?

This week.

Tommy C
What happens to the cards that dont get bought within the 5 hour time limit? do they go back into the email pool?

Will there be "email releases" and "public releases"?

Yes they will go back into the email pool. Right now there will only be email/notification releases from evga.com. You will still be able to find it at etail/retail also.

jspataro99
Hi Jacob. Will this queue system also be in place when the 3090 hybrids and Kingpin editions release?

Not yet determined on this.

Lazaredz
Haven't seen this clarified so ....

If I get the link to the XC3 and buy it, does that drop me off the FTW list?

Like is the 1 per household per card or per GPU family?

Its limit 1 per card.

gsrcrxsi
does "per card" mean per model (3080 vs 3090) or per sku (3080 XC3 vs 3080 FTW3)? there seems to be a lot of confusion about that. it's better to be very explicit in responses that could be interpreted in different ways to avoid such confusion.

I do also think it would be good for folks to be able to confirm that they are "on the list". you don't have to say our place in the queue, just something like "notifications are enabled for this product and was entered on <insert date>". that would placate people's fears about not being on the list without divulging any numbers or queue position.

It is per part number.

Talnoy
Is there anywhere you guys are going to post updates for when this is live for Canada?

Thanks!

This is live already for US and CA.

Link for you to know your date and time of Auto Notify =

Just a heads up.  Won't matter for forum members, but if anyone asks, you have to have or create an EVGA account that matches the notify email address you used if you want to view this page.

You boys are operating in the future. Tell me: how is it 1 day into the future? Did we make it?

I hope that rad is exhaust on front otherwise I would switch it with the CPU rad, that GPU will put out some serious heat
Unless of course that top fan mount is only a single
Edit-Very clean btw :)

top is only a single. while gaming(warzone/cold war/red dead online) i stay around 61°c or less on the cpu temps. gpu is ALWAYS under 50°c. i’m really impressed actually. i would love to get one of those lian li 011 cases though.. maybe soon

Are you running 500w bios? cause that sounds like a conservative clock for 50c unless you are not overclocking manually
I had to wait almost a month for my o11d xl case since it was out of stock lol

What orders are you all working on getting out currently? Like what time frame of the auto notify list?

It already is part of the spread sheet that Enewt posts updates for the group.  He does this based on what is reported by users who signed up and got their notifications.  Check earlier posts and you can get an idea of where the notifications are for each model.

Corsair 1000D Obsidian Case
I9 13900K with EK Velocity 2 Block
ASUS 4090 Strix with Optimus Block
ASUS Hero Z690 Mobo

EVGA 1600 Watt PSU

Two EK Pump/res combos.  Custom hard tube loop.

Thanks
EVGA

@evga_jacob I have to ask. I work nights, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. So I sleep during the day. What if I'm asleep while my email comes? Is it 5 hours once you click the link or once you get the email? It could be a pain for me if it comes at like 12 PM and I wake up at 6:30 PM.

We are doing a small test right now so due to the time anyone outside of the 8 hour window will allow exception for this test run. Going forward (after 10/6) the emails will be released during normal business hours.

When will more stock be available for this new system?

This week.

It’s not just US, it’s NA but I believe you’ll have to deal with all the import/province taxes or whatever you have up there.

When this queueing system went live at EVGA.com (i.e. US store) last year, Canada was included. The “order time sheet” is as accurate as people (who live in North America ) who have self reported on the various spreadsheets listed in this forum and also who have reported in this forum that they have received their card. I live in Canada and I used the auto notify last year and received the 3080 XC3 ultra in January.

i have the OC bios switch on, and i am not over clocking yet. just messing with this scans curves that i believe i have dialed in, isn’t the razer lian li case the same as the 011dxl? my local microcenter has like 40 of them lol
