jehoffman1 Does anyone know when one can sign up for a 3060? I know it is being released on 2/25, but I'd like to avoid being 6 hours late to sign up as I was on the 3060TI and still waiting for a card.
I believe Jacob tweeted that the EVGA queue time starts 12:00 EST on February 25th. I'll meet you there!
Is that noon or midnight?

Hey all, this thread didn't stay 100% on topic for 800 pages, but I wanted to come back and provide some feedback on a few PSU concerns people mentioned. I had an 850w Thermaltake Toughpower RGB gold unit, about 1 year old. Unfortunately, this unit was not enough to power my 3090 FTW3 Ultra. In heaving gaming (indeed, repeatable sections of multiple games) my system would power down. This was at stock, non-overclocked settings. It's worth noting my system pulls a lot of power, even at stock (3900x, 4 sticks of ram, closed-system CPU cooler, etc.) With that said, I upgraded to a Corsair 1200HXi and it immediately solved all of my issues. So while EVGA may recommend a 750w for the 3090, my 850w didn't cut the mustard. I did test the Thermaltake unit once I pulled it from the system, and everything checked out. It just couldn't handle the required power spikes it seems. Thermaltake said I could RMA it, but really there isn't any point since it's "functioning as intended". Anyways, hope this helps someone. Good luck on your continued search!

Regarding that deaf Radeon Vll, I sent in a dead one and refused the replacement 5700xt. Instead I took a loaner 5700 until the Radeon came in or a card of equal retail value.

people are complaining 1000W isnt even enough now... the card needs to be underclocked because the power spikes are just too harsh

There will likely be some impact, but it won't roll through for at least a week or two...as cards produced a week or so ago are currently en route to the US....

Working in Pacific Region logistics, I know transit times vary from 3 weeks to 8 weeks from China to the US West Coast depending on the shipping line used. I don't expect to see a huge slow down until Late March or April unless they stopped shipping more than a week or more before CNY.

I really hope EVGA is purposely coming up with ways to "fake help" their customers while under no obligation to do so and at their own cost, implementing rigged queue systems, giving away cards weekly during streams, and creating grace periods for the pre-tariff pricing with zero intent to release stock until after while everyone else hiked prices immediately... That is next-level evil, and that's the company I love to support. The St Jude Christmas charity donation match is a nice touch to their malicious and underhanded plans. /s

Hey @nicoco3000 When your card makes it to your door, please let me know if you get hit by duties and taxes. I'm in Canada too and would love to not get hit with all the extra fees that some shipping methods entail. Also the exact method of shipment would be helpful so I can duplicate it when my turn comes. Congratulations on your new card, hope it brings you lots of joy. :-)

The hybrid cards tend to be extremely reliable, even long term. Depending on how hard you push it, I wouldn't expect failure on it any sooner than an air cooled, as the hybrid cards commonly last 5 years+. They are well-made, and personally I would trust one. I had my 1080ti hybrid for about three years, and it was a problem-free work horse that entire time. As far as I know, the fella I sold it to is still happily gaming with it to this day. I'm sure he'd let me know if it died, lol.

There are no duties, but you will have to pay for provincial taxes (and I think UPS broker fees). I'm in Canada as well and I was in the queue for the 3080 XC3 Ultra, which I received last November or so. For delivery, I used the next day (the more expensive method) with the additional cost of adult signature. But because of this COVID situation, UPS does not guarantee their date of shipment. I guess, I was lucky. Once I had the UPS tracking number, I got the UPS e-mail notification shipment progress. This way, I was notified when I had to pay the provincial tax.

You are likely to get the invite to purchase email for the 3897 first (likely in March), then the 3898 (maybe April). I doubt you will see the 3895 invite to purchase email for several months.
