follow the guide
http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=219556
under tracker settings is where you put your Name & team number

this will do both CPU(smp) and GPU. so you don't need the previous client only version

Hi,
I'm kinda new to the hole folding program but since I have a machine that can do it I figured I might as well put my rig to good use. Just getting my account set up and should be up and folding as of tomorrow. I hope I can contribute enough points at some point to help make a difference.

Welcome all new folders to Team EVGA.  Being a new folder myself I have to admit it was a bit daunting at first.  The tracker really simplified my life as well as the sticky for it here on the forum.  Good luck to all!

Re:New EVGA Folder Check-IN 2011/08/12 13:25:53 (permalink)
Just started folding on July 31.

I have a Core i7-920 stock running 8 thread SMP and a GTX 260 Core 216 running GPU3.
A few days ago, I remembered that PS3s can run Folding@Home, so now that's running too.

Averaging about 6K points/day, and that's with pausing most of the day to avoid slowdowns while working in After Effects.

I'm hoping to hit 150K points this month so that I can earn a little reward while saving people while Alzheimer's and children in Africa.

Also, big THANKS to jedi95 for creating GPU Tracker v2.  It just makes everything so much easier!

New folder as of last week! Folding due to my great grandfather's demise in 2000 due to Alzheimers disease. Intend to fold most of the time with the rig below. I love the cause (plus it gives me the chance to geek out XD) and only intend to get better and better hardware to fold with! Thanks to everyone else blowing breakers for science! haha

Lost in the line of duty -GTX 570 (EXPLOSIONS AND FIRE), 2x 9800 GTX, GTX 920, GTX 970, ASUS Sabertooth z77, Core i5 3570k, AMD Athlon II. AMD Phenom x3. YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED!

Welcome to the Forums and to the team!!

Whatcha got folding?

Sorry took so long. Here is my folder as requested. A work in progress:
Phenom II x4 BE 965 C3 @ 4.125GHz
Asus M4A78T-E
2x CrossfireX HD4850's
4 x 2GB OCZ Gold DDR3-1600
700W OCZ Stealth X Stream II
Ubuntu (Linux) 11.04 64-bit

Of course since I switched to Linux I am not able to fold the ATI gpu2 clients. I hope they resolve that soon being my next investment is an AMD HD6950. If anyone knows a solution for this now please let me know. Until I will fold what I can. I am so happy with Ubuntu though since I switched to it natively. It is not only many times more stable than when I was folding
Window 7 Ultimate 64-bit it is actually a 27% faster folder with the native Linux SMP client. 27%!!! That is a  4860 ppd increase for me. That is my success story. Don't know if anyone else has had the same experience. I will keep Windows 7 as it still has its importance in my everyday activities that Ubuntu can't replace but I got to say I am impressed with how the transition to Linux is treating me. Who is this person I am becoming!?! LOL.

I hear ya, I switched my 980x box to ubuntu so I can do the bigbeta wu's. It's been pretty good, the only downfall is the initial set up.

Just signed up hoping to be a part of something good for the world. We all know there's enough bad.
Found the F@H when looking for ways to stress test a system and knew I had to get involved.
I even upgraded my card from the 8600 GT to the GTX 460 for the extra boost, not that I wasn't going to sooner or later.

New guy here.  I'm running an older rig that's listed in my signature, I'm running overnight, and on the weekends.
I'm only folding on my GPU's via the GPU tracker V2.  For some reason it doesn't like my CPU on 1 thread.

I'm running the 460 SE that replaced a warrantied 8800 GTX ACS3 that I bought ~4.5 years ago, and it's putting out ~7-8kppd, while the 560 Ti is putting out ~15-17k, dependent upon what WU's it's pulling down.
