Hi,I just got my 2080 ti black finally and am using it in an Alienware Area 51 which is huge n cpu water cooled. I could only fit a dual slot cooler in as there are power connectors in the way on both Pcie slots. So I was testing the card and runs high 1700’s until it hits 83-4 C then throttles down to 1635 boost speed. Still runs good just hot. Is this temp ok? Any suggestions to lower temps?

I have the same card but added the evga waterblock. Temps are never an issue with this set up. Since you already have water cooling, why not add the block too? The posts I read about the black’s two fan solution typically indicate it normally does get speed limited by gpu temps due to not having quite as good of air cooling capabilities as the other card.

I’m going to look at the existing water cooling, but it’s Dell and just one 120 mm radiator setup for the cpu not sure if it can handle cpu and gpu.

Dip it in the water, mine never reaches 45 degrees
Power limit is the one that hold this card back

Increase the speed of the gpu fans using msi afterburner.

Nope, a 120mm radiator will not be able to handle the CPU and GPU. The GPU will need, at the very least, a 120mm radiator just for the GPU by itself. But, preferably, the GPU should have a 240mm radiator or larger, to get temperature results worth your money and hassle.

Until then, turn the video card's fans up, turn your computer case's fans up, and add more/better fans to your computer case to increase computer case airflow from front to back and from bottom to top.

Sounds like the Dell is using a AIO and those are sealed loops which means they aren't designed to handle anything else or added upon.

Is this the case you're talking about?

If so, you could purchase a EVGA HYBRID Kit for your RTX 2080 Ti Black and watch those temps drop.  Just install the radiator in the front chamber of the case where one of the 120mm fans are positioned as seen below.  (Make sure to use my Associate Code: LMD3DNZM9LGK8GJ  to get 10% off your Hybrid Kit.)

    Hope this helps.
