Hello all, I am very new to this type of stuff. This is my first post on a forum for computers really in many years. I tried to see if this was asked but with so many models, it is hard to check every corner. Apologies if I missed the answer to these questions.
 
I purchased an EVGA 1080 Ti Elite Gaming Black (11G-P4-6796-K2) from Newegg. All the unboxing videos I have seen on youtube have 2 additional small electrostatic bags in them with the graphics card. Is this "new" card supposed to have two small bags of parts inside it? Are those the power connector adapters and an SLI bridge?

Just for clarification, we are no longer sending adapters with our cards, so it may not be an open-box product. I apologize for any confusion.

Are all outer boxes shrink wrapped? Do they ever ship without the wrapping around the outside of the box?
 
Do they have signs of the electrostatic bag having a peeled edge?
 
Both of the ones were missing the shrink wrap and had signs of tape being cut and/or the electrostatic yellow sticker being peeled.
 
 

Cut tape a bad sign.. clear plastic atleast covering the backplate and shroud??

If the tamper evidence seals are broken then ..... well someone must have opened the box would be my thought

Confirm the serial number matches on the Card & Box also

Confirm with your vendor that they did not ship a returned card.

Any signs of dust in the fins of the heatsink or fan blades?? Finger prints on the i/o plate?

I know it's not hard to lift the yellow tape off the anti static bag without damage.

At any rate.. if theres an issue with the card evga will send you a new one within 30 days of purchase.

Hope it's not a guy testing out cards for good overclock and sending them back without removing the plastic film from the card.

Perhaps I dodged that bullet, it does not appear to be any dust on the fins or fan shrouds but I have not removed it from the bag.
 
 

Thanks everyone for your help, I verified with Newegg, and they did claim to send a NEW product. With all the information you all gave me, I decided to hook it up and go with it and its amazing.
